So it all started one beautiful day sitting there with Annabeth on our first real date since the war against Gaea. Not the time and place you want monsters to attack right. Well of course the world disagrees. So I had just bowled my second strike when I heard commotion coming from the front of the building.
Now if extensive demigod training didn't give you anything it gave you the knowledge to know when there's a monster nearby. So we walked towards the front of the building and we see a hellhound. It wasn't Mrs. O'leary, so we decided to check it out.
It was in the middle of digging through the trash when it realized we were there. It turned and started growling so I uncapped Riptide. Then it did a downward dog and I saw a letter attached. As soon as I touched the letter Annabeth and I were transported to a familiar castle. Hades was waiting on his throne when we walked in the massive obsidian carved doors. "Hello heroes." Hades spoke. "You two are going on a quest to save my only living son, Nico. He has gone missing. You will go to your camp and consult with the oracle."
We were instantly transported back to camp next to Thalia's old pine tree. We went to Chiron and explained what happened. "Well all you can do if you want to live is follow his directions." We went to the oracle. The oracle spoke
"The friend you seek is far from home ,
hidden by a monster in a large dome,
travel to the land of great floods,
receive The King and go to spuds"
