Batman Story Draft

Author's note:

I've always love the character of Batman, his character is very special to me because it connects with me on an interpersonal level, that no other character in fiction could possibly ever achieve. So I wanted to write something special for the character of Bruce Wayne, but unfortunately I'm not very good at writing characters. Nevertheless, here is my attempt at writing a Batman story, I hope you all enjoy.

Chapter 1

Bruce Wayne was a man of many talents, a man haunted by his past. When Bruce was a child, he was remarkably different. From birth he was practically given everything that anyone could possibly dream of. Vast wealth, a great childhood and the greatest gift of all. A loving family.

However that all changed after one tragic night, a night so terrible that it would forever change the future of Gotham. And in the process, this event combined with the high crime rate would shape billionaire Bruce Wayne in a unstoppable force for justice. A defender of the people, he would become a symbol. He would be become the thing that made criminals think twice before committing a crime, he would become the thing that made criminals breathe easier during the day.

Dawning the guys of that which he feared as a child, a bat. He would patrol the streets of Gotham, always on the lookout for any shady endeavours. In the beginning his job as the defender of the night was more difficult, thanks in part, to Gotham's police department. More specifically, their no non sense police commissioner who did everything by the book. Commissioner James Gordan.

Over time the two had learned to respect each other, each of them understanding that they were both necessary for the hopes of a brighter tomorrow for Gotham's citizens.

Bruce was never alone in his quest for justice, he always had someone to help him through whatever he needed to get through. Someone like faithful butler Alfred Pennyworth, a man of many talents himself offered to help Bruce in his conquest. True to his and to Thomas Wayne's word, Alfred had been with Bruce through thick and thin.

Watching the boy who lost his parents to the hands of a city so corrupted that even the police department couldn't be trusted, grow up in a man who fights for the city and everyone of it's citizens. Including those who took away his chance at a life all those years ago made Alfred extremely proud.

During his time serving, Alfred had seen courage and sacrifice. But never to the extent of what Bruce had demonstrated, torturing himself both physically and emotionally, just so he could become the most efficient crime fighter he could possibly be.
