Disclaimer: I do not own Dragon Ball Z
When I had first set my eyes on him, I knew the boy was special.
Gohan was four or five years old and yet he had alone been strong enough to take on Raditz. Of course, he was a stupid kid then, but I knew he had potential.
Training him was hard; in the beginning he always complained about training and I had to push him further. Slowly, he had matured.
If the truth has to be told, I felt guilty.
I had ruined Gohan's childhood, made him a warrior when he should have attended school, and Chi Chi's anger was justified.
However, Gohan was valiant. My heart swells with pride when I see him. He's my most treasured award, for I count myself lucky to have a student like him. He is my biggest my achievement, the apple of my eye, the personification of love and friendship in my life.
Our relation is strange. It is of trust and respect, friendship and love, student and teacher, and of son and father.
So if someone asks me who matters to me the most, I would answer: My student, Gohan.
You have really done me proud, son, and I hope you know it.
And remember, if the need ever arises, you have Piccolo by your side.
