Rejected. Again.

The one word that could accurately, and not so quite, describe one Rachel Berry, who worked harder than any, strived farther than any and succeeded higher than any. Unfortunately, when it came to the romantic realm of Rachel's life that same success couldn't be accounted for.

Endless dates that amounted to ridicule, even darker times when all Rachel knew was of sneaking around with Finn; and the latest assurance of such letdowns were the cruel rejections from the male population increased tenfold as Senior Prom neared.

The one thing Rachel always hoped for was the perfect prom night, having a good time with her handsome date, with her friends. However, as she dejectedly walked down the hallways as resignation consummated her, a lone sticky note attached to the exit doors caught her attention.

Unfolding the note, Rachel gasped and twirled, a look of pure joy in her face. As she looked around for the secret sender, an approaching shadow reveled one flustered Blaine Anderson, rubbing the back of his neck, with a cheeky grin on his face.

Rachel all but tackled Blaine, hugging him tightly, and clenching her tiny fists in his shirt repeating over and over, that yes, always yes. Twirling her slightly, he gave her a playful peck and told her, "Maria cannot afford to be without her Tony."

As the pair exited the school grounds, the note, forgotten in the moment, fell to the floor, reading, "Prom?"

For Ashley.
