Café Buono!: Internet Cupid

Rima and Yaya sat a table at Yaya's favorite ice cream parlor, with free wireless internet of course, eating ice cream. There was still two weeks until school started and Rima would be a middle school student.

Rima broke the silence, save for Yaya's eating ice cream sounds, when she said, "Hey, Yaya, guess what?" The Queens chair was now poking her ice cream with a spoon, while the Ace chair was inhaling it eagerly.

Yaya paused in her ice cream eating for a brief moment to reply with a "What?"

"Class President, Kairi Sanjo-kun, is returning to Seiyo Academy when school starts." Rima said casually, with a hidden intention of getting a reaction out of Yaya.

Yaya froze, and stopped in her ice cream eating. Her eyes then lit up as she asked, "Really?"

Rima nodded, taking another bite of her ice cream, "Yeah, he emailed me yesterday. Apparently his sister needs him here now that she and Hoshina-san are going independent."

Yaya nearly jumped up and down in excitement as she exclaimed, "No way! That's amazing! Yaya will finally be able to see Kairi after so long!"

Rima, in her monotone voice, remarked, "From the way you said it, it seems like you have a crush on him."

Rima's attempt to make Yaya flustered failed when the latter returned to eating her ice cream, finishing it in a single bite, and replied, "Yep!" Rima's facial expression went from her typical deadpan to a questioning look, before remembering that Yaya was too childish and cheerful to get flustered.

Rima, going along with Yaya's response, then asked Yaya while taking a second bite of her ice cream, "So, are you going to do anything special for his arrival?"

A waiter stopped by their table to place second servings in front of Yaya. The pig-tailed girl then happily replied, "Nope!"

Rima reacted calmly, and simply tilted her head and asked in curiosity, "Why not?"

Yaya dug into her new ice cream and replied, "Yaya's just going to do what she's been doing!"

Rima was unfazed. Stabbing her spoon into her ice cream, she asked casually, "And what might that be?"

Yaya put her spoon down and made a heart with her hands as she shouted, "Internet Cupid!" Upon seeing Rima's confused face, Yaya explained, "You know, Internet Cupid! Like the song, 'Spreading the virus of love to the world'!"

Rima stared at Yaya, still not understanding what she meant, before shrugging and going back to her ice cream. "I'll take your word for it," she said.

Rima didn't want to know what Yaya meant by that.
