A small bit of drabble I did whilst the School Days anime was still airing. I'm unsure if I'll be finishing this one. For now, enjoy.

"Matoko…"

The girl looked down at the cellphone grasped in her right hand. Only a class period before had she received a message from the boy asking her to wait at the rooftop as soon as she had free time. Or so she thought.

Not more than five minutes later could the creak of the metal door leading to the rooftop be heard.

There came a clatter against the floor, the sound of cold metal hitting the hallway floor. Half of it was over. He was gone, finished, removed from protective bubble of desires he thought he'd once been safe within. A low key laugh echoed the empty hall as the culprit removed herself from the picture toward the nearest flight of stairs.

Kotonoha Katsura. To a vast majority of people she was seen as a living angel. Never doing anything wrong, always doing things for others, even to the extent of buying a group set of tickets to the newest water centre. If only they knew what went on in that corridor.

What happened to cause the clatter of metal against the floor? The laughter that didn't hold happiness nor sadness, just a dank dull tone? Ask the body of a young male slumped against the wall. The body, littered with various slashes and stab wounds left open for all to see.

Like any other school day, classes had been on schedule as per normal. Kotonoha silently contemplating over recent happenings as others gathered the utensils needed for the task at hand.

"Katsura! Geez! We called you five times! Fetch the knife!"

It didn't take much to snap the young girl from her daydream, especially if it were sneers from pushy peers. Yet there was nothing else to do but oblige to the commands issued to her, so she rose, stepping over to the cabinet that held the various cooking utensils.

They all seemed to glimmer in the sunlight that strew though the window, making them almost mesmerising. The blade itself seemed like it could separate anything, anything at all. For a moment the girl frowned whilst mulling the thought over in her head.

'Separate.. Separate…'

It was true she hadn't been thinking or acting properly lately. Who could when all you saw was the love of your life constantly with another girl? To make matters worse, the girl she saw giving a sweet kiss to him. It only seemed to take one bad memory to bring the rest flooding back.

Being ever so slightly overpowered by so many thoughts, she staggered.

"Sensei.. I don't feel so good. I'm going to see the nurse."

With finding agreement from the teacher she left the room, completely forgetting about the blade she held in her one hand.
