"So, I'm going to call out questions your fans have asked on twitter, and you have to answer them as quickly as you can to see how many we can get through in 5 minutes. Ready?" The crowd erupted into cheers as Dan and Phil replied "ready". They were quite nervous - they had never done a Q&A live. What questions could possibly be asked?
"Question 1 is from dylann_, 'Why don't you have a pet cat?'" "Well…ask our landlord that," Dan replied.
After two minutes, it was going well, Phil had just answered the previous question, and they were beginning to feel more comfortable, as the questions were asked.
"Question 12, this one is from phan_is_realll, 'can you two please kiss?!'"
Dan and Phil went ghost white. Their stomachs dropped while sweat broke out on their foreheads. The audience went exploded into screams. Were they really going to kiss in front of everyone? Phil glanced at Dan. Time seemed to slow. The spotlight stared down at them, waiting anxiously. Dan's terrified eyes met Phil's as he took the first move. He trudged towards him, knowing he would regret this. Phil didn't think he would actually agree to this. 6 inches apart they began to close their eyes, this was it. 3 inches apart, their lips began for this moment. 1 inch apart, they could hear each other's heavy breathing. Dan touched his lips to Phil's-slowly.
Almost instantly, Phil embraced him, his lips pressed hard against Dan's. His arms were wrapped around Dan's hip while he made twisted his head to get every inch of Dan's lips kissed. Dan hugged him back out of surprise, and they kissed while the crowd fell silent. No one could believe this was actually happening. It seemed like the world stopped for this moment.
They both began to break free of each other, searching for an explanation in the other one's eyes. They turned to look at their fans, and their faces turned bright red. Dan was frozen and speechless. Phil couldn't stand it anymore and sprinted off the stage.
"Phil! Phil come back!" His voice was breaking. Tears glinted in Dan's eyes as he ran after Phil. He knew his life would never be the same.
