Poison Wound

Kagome leaned against the trunk of a tree, pain flowing through the left side of her stomach. In her last battle, she and Inuyasha fought against the bug demon, and she had been sprayed with poison that came out of it's mouth.

Inuyasha froze in his path, hearing Kagome drop to the ground, "Kagome you idiot, this is no place or time to be sleeping!!" Kagome didn't answer nor did she move. Inuyasha then smelt blood with his sensitive nose, and remembered her injury from the bug demon.

He then picked her up and held her over his back. "Kagome... wake up... please," There was a bit of concern in his voice. He mumbled under his breath, "*Gotta get Kagome to shelter.*"

Out of the corner of his eye, he caught a glimpse of what seemed to be a cave of some sort. "We're almost there... you'll be okay," he said. A faint whisper escaped her mouth, "In...u...y-yasha."

As soon as they were in the empty cave, Inuyasha gently put Kagome on the hard, cold, wooden floor. A few seconds later, Inuyasha was fumbling through Kagome's bag and he found a couple of her spell books (School books), but they were of no help what so ever. Finally he remembered something his mother had told him about poisoned wounds, "*Take a sharp object, heat it up, and press it against the wound until you see the poison rise and drain out.*" He winced at the thought, he would be getting a lot of "sits" for this one.

Inuyasha fumbled through Kagome's bag a little more and found a shiny, pointy object. Getting a fire started was always a little hard for him but he had to try. Since he really liked eating meat raw and never starts fires to cook anything, 8this is going to be hard* Inuyasha thought, *but it's for Kagome.*

He rubbed 2 sticks together as fast and as hard as he could only to find that they would break after every single try. Infuriated Inuyasha grabbed Kagome's books and ripped a few pages out *boy was she gonna be mad*. He remembered that one time Kagome took out what she called "matches" and started a fire before his eyes... it was like magic. Remembering what Kagome did he struck the matches he found in her bag together and threw them into the would and paper.

Inuyasha laid the knife over the fire for a few minutes, and then turned to Kagome, "Boy, this will hurt." Then he remembered the wound was on her stomach! He thought for a few moments, then folded the very end of her shirt over a little bit and pressed the knife to her stomach, "Wh.. Wha... she didn't even scream."

He turned her around only to see that her face was as pale as a ghosts. He sniffed the air, "She isn't dead." Slowly and gently he laid her head on his lap and started shaking her shoulders, "WAKE UP!!!!... p-please.." He noticed the poison was leaving her body, when he heard, "SIT!!!!!!" He got up a moment later and screamed, "HEY! What did I do?!?!," Kagome with an angry voice said, "You were ...staring at me..."

"But... Grrr.... I got the poison outta your stomach!" Kagome was a bit shaken at his tone of voice.. "Ohh.... sorry..." She said.

"It's okay," he said, "Now get up and come on we got a long day ahead of us and I don't want you slowing me down. We gotta find Miroku, Sango, and Shippo, so hurry up." Kagome could feel that anger rising... "Inuyasha.... SIT!!!!" ~*ThUd*~
