Setting: Directly after Shugo Chara! Party.
Characters: Amu Hinamori
Café Buono!: My Real Self (ホントのじぶん)
Amu sat in the audience of the auditorium. It was her Elementary school graduation. As she watched the sixth grade students get called up one by one, she reflected back on her time at Seiyo Academy.
Time had flown by so quickly, it seemed like it was just yesterday that she'd gotten invited to the Guardians...
Back then, Amu hadn't wanted anything to do with the Guardians, or her Guardian Characters, Ran, Miki, and Su. She'd been hiding underneath her exterior character back then, but Amu was glad now that Nadeshiko, her Guardian Characters, and the other Guardians had managed to talk her into joining the Guardians.
In a way, they had forced her real character out, or encouraged her until it flew out on its own. Because of them, she was that much closer to achieving her dreams.
It was a wonderful feeling. She could now look back, and call herself an idiot for not opening up her true self earlier. Because there really were people who felt that she could achieve her dreams even if she thought that she was a loser.
Amu looked towards the podium, where Yaya was finishing up her cheerful speech in her own way, "Alright! Now, lets make this graduation the best one ever! You all have fun in middle school, now! Amakawa-sensei will give out the diplomas~! Don't forget to do what you want to do, and say what you want to say, because from now on you guys are middle school students!"
Amu turned to her right, and made eye-contact with Tadase. The King's chair was sitting in the audience rather than giving the speech for the reason that he was also graduating. The blonde boy smiled at her before turning his head back to the front, while he, Amu, and the rest of the audience clapped for Yaya's speech.
Sitting in front of them was Nagihiko, and Amu thought back to when she first met him and the others. She'd only seen them for what their outer characters were. And, in a way, they'd been doing just what she'd been doing: hiding under a character. But, after all that they went through, there wasn't one member of the Guardians who didn't understand the other's feelings.
They could all relate.
One by one, the names of the 6th graders were called, and Amu waited until she heard her own name, "Amu Hinamori."
Amu stood and made her way to the podium, where she received her elementary-school diploma. Looking out into the audience, she spotted Rima. When she first met Rima, the blonde was one of the coldest people she'd ever met. With this in mind, all of them really had gone through a lot together, and they were all changed for the better.
As she stepped down from the stage, Amu looked at her Guardian Characters, who floated in front of her. All four of them gave her a knowing smile, knowing just what she was thinking. In a way, she felt what they were thinking, too.
From now on, Amu would push forward on her own path.
From now on, Amu would do her best, even if overwhelmed by obstacles.
Her new beginning would be from scratch, and her Guardian Characters would help her hold and chase after her dreams.
Her dream of becoming her true self.
