Lazy Sunday Mornings

Sundays were both her favourite and least favourite day of the week. Least favourite because there was work the next day. Favourite because she got to sleep in late and these days she had somebody to make that worthwhile.

Henry spent every second weekend with Regina, so on those weekends not a lot of actual sleep was to be had. Considering there weren't a lot of quiet times to be had in Storybrooke, she and Killian made the most of the ones they had. They had both learnt that lesson some time ago after almost losing the other on a couple of occasions.

Since this was a weekend that Henry was home, Emma rolled over and snuggled closer to Killian. Henry would knock on the door when he got out of bed and she would get up and make breakfast. He was old enough to know better than to burst into her bedroom. Somehow she had the feeling that he had learnt that lesson from staying with Regina when Robin was around. But Henry never said anything and she never asked.

There was something comforting about having Killian's arm around her waist. She had never been one to cuddle but with him it was different. With him it felt as though she was home. With the guys she had been with before it felt suffocating. But not with Killian.

He was staring at her. She knew without even opening her eyes. She had given up asking him why he did that since he kept giving her the same reply. "Because I can't believe how lucky I am."

Truth be known, she thought she was the lucky one. No other man she had known or been with had shown so much patience and given her the time to sort out her feelings. He understood her on so many levels. She was definitely the lucky one.

"You're staring again." Not that she really minded. When he looked at her she felt as though she was the most beautiful woman in the world.

"It's your fault." His chuckle vibrated under her hand on his chest. "If you weren't so stunning, I'd have nothing to look at."

She was pretty sure that stunning was the last thing she was at the moment. Clumps of hair were probably standing up making her look as though she had received an electric shock. Not to mention the makeup which no matter how well she cleansed her face the night before, always seemed to leave her with Panda eyes the next morning.

Whereas the more he ran his hands through his hair or just woke up with bed head, the more devilishly handsome he was. Not that she would ever tell him that. His ego was big enough as it was.

"Go back to sleep. Henry will be knocking on the door soon." Sleep was obviously not something Killian was interested in. He began a trail of soft kisses which heated her skin down her neck reaching her collar bone just as Henry knocked on the door.

Emma chuckled as Killian groaned into her neck. "Guess it's time to get up."

"I was up, just hoping to spend more time in bed is all." Killian grinned when Emma smacked his arm. "Come on Swan. Better get up before the lad comes looking for us."

Next weekend, they'd be lucky if they made it out of bed by lunchtime.
