"Achoo!" A muffled sneeze could be heard in Minerva's living quarters. Right now, she had sneezed for the thirtieth time that day, and it was only noon.
"Rosianna." A weary Scottish brogue called out. In an instant, one of the Hogwarts House Elves appeared at her side. Rosianna scanned the room, looking at the scattered tissues laying on the ground, and noticing Minerva was wrapped in tartan blankets.
"Yes, Miss McGonagall?" She asked snapping her fingers. Quickly the tissues disappeared, and the fire had been lit nearby, warming the cool room up. She looked at Minerva in concern,
"You don't need to call me Missus McGonagall." Minerva reprimanded sharply before erupting into a fit of coughing. She doubled over in pain, and Rosianna noticed this fearing the worse.
"Is the Miss alright?" She asked, getting over to Minerva and helping her in an instant, ignoring the weak and feeble protests Minerva gave as she helped her to a nearby couch. Minerva sighed and when finished coughing looked at Rosianna.
"Though I didn't need the help, thank you." She said to the House Elf, who smiled before continuing. "You may be wondering why I called you." She said, pausing for a second. "I seem to have forgotten my way to the Kitchens having not been down there many a times, and I was hoping you might be able to guide me." She admitted sheepishly, and Rosianna smiled eager to help. She then helped Minerva up, and took a real look at her appearance, almost dropping her in shock.
Instead of her usual clear eyes, they were foggy and dark circles were around them. Her cheeks, usually a healthy pale color were now greenish yellow. She had the look of someone who was ill and needed care, Rosianna realized and became more gentle as they started to walk down the familiar corridors and once or twice she had 'accidentally' turned wrong, leading them to the Dungeons. But Minerva had not realized, and continued walking at a very slow place.
Finally, a few meters away from the Dungeons and Rosianna stopped. Minerva stopped as well, sweating because of how far she had walked. And considering she was still wrapped in her teaching robes and a few tartan blankets, she felt relieved they had finally stopped.
"Wait here, Miss. And caught your breath" Rosianna added as she walked down to the Potions Room. She had made sure that by the time she and Minerva would reach the dungeons, Severus would be heading to Lunch. She was right, and by the time she got to the Potions Classroom, the scowling Potions Master himself had knocked into her.
"What do you want, Rosianna? Sent by Minerva to badger me about my eating habits?" He hissed, sending a glare that would have sent any other House Elf in fear, running in the other direction. She shook her head firmly.
"Miss McGonagall's sick" She said pointing to him "Rude Potions Masters going to give me Potion to help her." She said pointing to his office that was nearby. His jaw dropped at her audacity. He had known many people had wanted to say that, but never had anyone said it to his face. He then nodded, realizing the urgency of her request and disappeared to his office, reappearing a few moments later.
"Bring me to her" He said silkily, holding a small potion that had Fever Reducer inside, with a small amount of Sleeping Draught. She nodded and followed him back to Minerva, who he had never before seen look so sick.
"Minerva?" He asked softly, his voice holding no malice. "Rosianna told me you had a headache," He began and she nodded grabbing the potion without question. She gulped it down, and both Rosianna and Severus caught her before she fainted.
"We'll have to levitate her to her quarters. Make sure she gets better." Severus said looking sharply at Rosianna who smiled and nodded.
"Leave that to me."
