Until The Sun and Moon Meet

Disclaimer: I do not own the names Agni and Yue, but I do own this story.
Author's Note: This was a pretty little story that I wrote for my English class. I worked very hard. I'm proud of myself. :P
P.S. Reviews are loved, even flames, as I can use those to heat my house.

Love and Hate.
Life and Death.
Light and Dark.
Yin and Yang.
Agni and Yue chased each other across the stars in an eternal dance.
They danced in a way that their arms brushed, but they never touched.
In that dance, their emotions took hold, clearly expressing their love-hate relationship.
One little argument would set Agni's passion to flame, the unbridled fury unmatched by any in the entire universe, while Yue's anger would become colder than a star at absolute zero.
The more they fought, the more they grew to hate one another; and the more they hated, the more they loved.
Their beautiful dance pulled them closer when they were angry, and pushed them apart when they were happy.
They needed to be apart when they were happy, as the two always disagreed on what made happiness. Agni had a fondness for light and life. Yue had a fondness of darkness and death.
Yet after all the years of being united in dance, Yue rubbed off on Agni, and Agni rubbed off on Yue.
She had tainted some of his lightness, and he had lit a candle in the darkness of her heart.
They balanced each other in that weird sort of way, their eternal dance of Yin and Yang.
Eventually the two had come to agree that something was missing in their lives; the pieces of the puzzle had assembled, and both knew that one was missing.
So together they created Earth, and the puzzle was complete, yet the dance wasn't done.
Agni wanted to raise Earth in lightness, teaching her of all the kindness in the universe, while Yue wanted to raise Earth in darkness, to teach her of the awe and power of the dark.
So the two agreed for the last time in their lives.
Agni would have half the day to raise Earth his way.
He did, letting his heart and soul light the world, making the beauty and warmth of day.
Yet the day had to end; light and dark would blur as Agni stepped aside to let Yue take over.
She did, harnessing her anger, her failures, letting them give her a cold fury that gave the world a glow.
The Earth grew up in the eternal dance between her parents, whom she called the Sun and the Moon.
Then she raised us humans as her own children in this dance.
Raised by both of her parents, the Earth is kind, giving us water and life, but she is also mean, giving us droughts and death.
Just like her parents, Earth is perfectly balanced.
Both be seen at dusk and dawn.
Love and Hate.
Life and Death.
Light and Dark.
Yin and Yang.
