Description: My take on how Ianto's and Jack's relationship really is, based on seeing up to episode 6 of season 2.

Okay so I haven't seen past episode 6 of season 2 so this is my take on how Ianto's and Jack's relationship really is, because well so far Jack has only expressed the desire to sleep with Ianto and nothing else. R&R please.

Disclaimer: Do not own Torchwood, if I did well, things would probably be different, or maybe the same not sure, but yeah don't own Torchwood.

There is no love here. No soft words of love and happiness, no soft whispers being spoken in the moment of heat as lust rushed over them and makes them cry out in pure pleasure. No there never was, that thing, the love was reserved for her, the one that got married, the one that was able to escape the curse of Torchwood's loneliness. There is no love between them because it is reserved and kept for everyone else, so there is no love for Ianto, only lust.

He never whishes for it, never yearns for three words that will never pass Jack's lips for him. Because he knows that Jack can't love him, he never could and never will, it's impossible, Ianto is simply Jack's distraction. That's how it works, Jack falls for someone he loses them and then he turns to Ianto for comfort for a distraction from his loneliness. Because that is Ianto's job, he comforts everyone, he makes sure everything works properly, and in order for Jack to work properly he needs to be distracted. He needs Ianto's body beneath him moaning and sweating, begging for more, whimpering when Jack pulls back to stare down at him wondering what it is that he's doing, wondering why he's here with Ianto, and wondering why Ianto lets him stay.

It doesn't bother Ianto though, it never has, and never will because it's his job, it's his responsibility to keep Jack happy and distracted, it's simply not a matter of love, or needing really, just primal, urging, desperate matter of sex.

Yeah, I know it's short, but there's not much to tell, it's all there in the series, it's basically spelt out in front of us, Jack doesn't love Ianto. And I don't mean to bash because I love Ianto and Jack together, but it's the truth based off what I've seen so far I don't see Jack truly loving Ianto the way he loved Rose (from Doctor Who) and Gwen, and the other people he's loved.
