A/N1: As always, I don't own any portion of Stargate: SG-1 or it's wonderful characters. I love 'em and lust after 'em, but don't own 'em.
I see this set somewhere in the first couple of seasons. Definitely not past "Upgrades". There are absolutely NO Spoilers enclosed herein. Enjoy!

He was easily six inches taller than she, but she didn't know it as she look up at him. His deep brown eyes examined her liquid blue ones as hers looked questioning back to him. He took half a step to close the small distance that still existed between them, his eyes examining her face.
"Jack," she whispered.
"Sshh," he soothed.
Smiling, she reached up and touched his cheek. "Jack," she repeated.
Frowning, he paused. "What?" he asked.
Her cheeks turning slightly pink. "I just like saying your name."
He smiled a small smile and dipped his head. "Don't you ever stop talking?" His eyebrows were up and his eyes intense as if expecting an honest answer to his question.
She lifted her chin with a smile. "If given a good enough reas-" her response was cut off by his lips firmly pressed against hers. Her free hand reached out to first touch his stomach, then traced her fingers up his chest.
He leaned down slightly to envelope her in his arms and her hands snaked to his neck as he pressed her to him. Their kiss intensified as she turned her head and parted her lips. His hand moved up to cradle the back of her head, relishing the silky feel of her hair between his fingers.
"Jack, I was wondering about...Oh!"
They parted and she put her head on his chest as he straightened and pressed his lips together to turn and look at Daniel Jackson standing at the door of his office. "Daniel."
"Sorry," the younger man said, examining the doorjamb.
She laughed and pulled back, looking up at Jack. He looked back down at her and smiled back with a twinkle in his eye.
"Shoulda closed the door," he said with a facial shrug.
"Not like you invited me here with the intention..."
His eyebrows rose. "No?"
Her eyebrows rose and her smile faded slightly, noticing that his arm was still around her. "Did you?"
He leaned closer and whispered. "Maybe."
She smiled into his chest, then looked back up at him. "We'll have to resume the conversation later, I guess. Come by my office when you have time." She reached up and pressed a kiss to the corner of his mouth. "See ya soon." She stepped away and sauntered out of the room, passing Daniel who was still busy inspecting the doorjamb. "Have a good day, Dr. Jackson."
He turned then to look at her. "Ah, you, too, Veronica." He watched her leave, then turned to look at Jack. "Veronica Delas? From Finance?"
Jack shrugged. "We went to lunch."
Daniel's eyebrows rose to disappear under his hair. "What brought this on?"
Jack shrugged. "She asked."
"And?"
Jack moved to his desk and picked up the baseball on the front of it. "And I said okay," he finished and sat, kicking his feet up.
"So she asks you to go to lunch, you're 'okay' with it and, what? afterwards, you bring her here to make out?"
Jack frowned. "Don't be so crass, Daniel."
Daniel looked shocked. "Crass?"
"We went to lunch a couple of weeks ago. Then there was a dinner, then another lunch..." He frowned. "She came to pick up some papers."
Daniel thought for a moment. "And yet she left without papers..."
Jack popped up out of his chair and went to a file cabinet and picked up some papers that were on top of it. "Damn! Forgot to give her the papers," he frowned then looked around. "Well, Daniel, what did you need?"

A/N: It's a scene that's been rattling around in my head that I couldn't get rid of. I had to write it or it would get stuck there, blocking everything else AND it had NOTHING to do with what I'm currently writing...sigh! Feedback would be delightful, of course, as always.
