Kamui had fallen in love with him. What could it be? His charming smile, his bright golden eyes, his soft dark hair, and his beastly voice that sent the young vampire into a state of pure rapture? Or the fact that it was supposed to be casual, and nothing more, but the love had out weighed the lust? Kamui just couldn't seem to find the answer. Kamui and Subaru had left acid Tokyo about a year ago, but that didn't erase the adolescent's memories about… him. The urge in the boy's stomach made his face red; he couldn't get the man out of his mind.

The twins were at a gas station, the one that they had gone to every other night, and they were wading through the night. It was snowing; a white glaze seemed to cover everything in sight. Subaru watched his brother intently; he could see the longing in his eyes, the need to find the someone just for him once again. The nights when they weren't here at the gas station, Kamui was in bed, having vicious nightmares, screaming in agony in those sweat-soaked sheets. Subaru knew who they were about; that man, the man Kamui had fallen fatally in love with, even though he refused to admit it.

Even as Kamui longed for the dreams to stop, he needed them to occur. They were the only indication that Fuuma was real. He needed to be in pain for that man. But Fuuma was never going to be seen again by the young vampire; he existed now in only the boy's memory. There was 0 chance that they would ever meet up again. Kamui was nothing more than a wounded soldier now; he couldn't go on. He couldn't even start.

He had tried to take his life, but he could still hear that mans voice in his head; remember who you are, Kamui. That's what kept him alive. That voice. But each time he heard it, it got dimmer in dimmer. It was fading away into the back of his own heart, deserting the vampire. Soon there would be nothing left.

Kamui had failed to drink again, and he was becoming very skinny; his eyes were dulled, his skin becoming gray, his lips turning black. He looked like a terminal cancer patient. Subaru just couldn't deal with it. He couldn't bear to see his other half in such pain. But there was only one person who could fix him, only one person to mend his soul back together. And that was Fuuma.

Subaru stood there for a moment, thinking, and then it hit him. He gasped with joy, smiling from ear to ear, and he giggled with delight; Kamui didn't move from the corner in which he sat. He sat there, a cigarette in one hand, the other palm up on the ground. The looked like a depressed mannequin. Subaru walked over to him and smiled, trying to cheer up the mood. "I have to go away for a few days, alright? Maybe more." He said in a whisper. Kamui didn't even look up, but he merely grunted in distaste. Subaru nodded, turning away from his brother and walking toward the door, and he left. There was only one solution; to find Fuuma.
