It was raining. It fit. Sasuke stood over his former closest person, memories of times together running through his mind, and all the things that he had said.

Rain can wash away paint and stains, cleaning up chalk on the street, but once it hit's the ground, it all runs together, ruining the pictures you saw.

He looked up at the sky, the marks from the curse seal fading, his body trembling from the high paced battle they had had.

Rain can run down your face, soaking you to the skin, the offside of that being you get sick, Of course, when you play in it you feel free and clean, you don't care, and neither does the rain.

'Dobe . . .' He had thought he didn't care, had thought that killing him would make him stronger, and it would be a nessecary sacrifice for him to kill his brother . . . and he now had the Mangekyo.

But it's when it rains the you slow, and think about those gone, those that are going, and those you want to see . . . and the things you want to change.

'What I have I done . . . I'm just like my brother' Sasuke looked at the hole in the body's chest. 'Naruto, why didn't you dodge?' Sakura wouldn't accept him, neither would Kakashi, not after this . . . Naruto had held back, dropping his chakra shield, letting Sasuke hit his heart.

"Sasuke!" Kakashi stood there, Pakkun, Sai and Sakura with him. Sasuke could sense the others all around. "What did you do?"

'If you wanted power Teme, I could've given it to you . . . and I will.' Naruto had known there were other ways, he had been trying to help, not get stronger . . . Sasuke felt a cold wind blow straight through him, and something snapped.

"Sasuke!" Sakura got there quick, stopping Sasuke from using a kunai on himself, he fought with her trying to take his own life, He felt Kakashi grabbed him as well, and finally the chakra exhaustion he had forced him to pass out.

Passing a graveyard when it rains, you wonder how many times the stone gets wet befor the name fades, and you feel trapped in a gray cloud . . . or maybe it's just me.

Kakashi looked at the newest name added to the stone, after so much controvesy. It had yet to stop raining, and Sasuke had become like an emotionless, life size doll. He lay in a hospital bed, eyes unseeing. Guilt had destroyed his mind. Kurenai had tried using genjutsu . . . but it hadn't worked. Nothing would ever work, He'd lost two students.

But in the end, the rain passes, brinning the sun, and those things that grow and flourish after it, nothing is ever too bad that there is no hope.

Hinata had secretly been carryin Naruto's child, much to so many's dismay. The little blonde was set on the Uchiha's chest, tugging at his hair, Giggling. Sasuke's eyes blinked, and focused on the mini blonde.

"Naruto?"

"Iie, Hien. He's a year old. Naruto's son."

'Naruto's son, someone I can protect, gain back my life.' Three days later, Sasuke could leave, constantly watching Hien.

Rain, rain, go away, come again some other day, if you don't I won't mind, but remember to let the sun shine.

The rain stopped as Sasuke apologized to Sakura and Kakashi, and within two years, Sasuke could finally laugh again, but it wasn't until He had his own team, hyperactive blonde, broody raven haired, and fangirl red head, that the pain in his eyes went away.

Well, first shot at a character deathfic, it was raining when I came up with it, and I was seriously depressed. By the way, I don't own Naruto.
