Chapter 1: Sapphire, Onyx and Opal
New moon was dark but round as a azure wolf ran from the herds of prey galloping towards him. "HELP!" yelled the ultramarine wolf but no one was there. "Help! Somebody!" He yelled again but suddenly a rustle in the bush came... and a Onyx with carmine stripes grabbed the cobalt wolf out of the way from the powerful herd of deer.
"Thanks..." panting the cerulean wolf commented.
"No problem..." the dark wolf replied and ran back to his pack. The sapphire wolf decided to follow him deeper and deeper into the woods until a metallic wolf pounced on him. "Intruder!" he said, and the other pack members started brawling with the beryl wolf. "ENOUGH!" Yelled a familiar voice...they all obeyed and growled at the blue one. He whimpered in return. "What are you doing here...?" He asked "I saved you from a herd of galloping deer, you don't have to thank me again..."
"I want to stay here...my pack exiled me for no reason and I've been pushed way too far!"
"You're look like you're in good condition for someone whose been exiled..."
"T-thanks.."
"Why don't you join ours if you have no pack?"
"That's what I was trying to say before you ran..."
"He he, sorry, pack conditions."
"So what's your name?"
"Sonic. Yours?"
"Shadow."
There was a moment of silence until a young orange wolf cub said "Sonic, you'll be sleeping in Shadow's den..."
Shadow decided he should watch the cubs for a bit, until a pink wolf came along..."How's the new cubs coming along with the other females?" Shadow asked.
"So far, 10 cubs...but they'll have to be trained by the next new moon to pounce, at least..." Amy replied with sollitude.
"Sounds like a plan..."
"But mating season is in a few months!" Whined a opal wolf.
"Silver, you know that we know and I'm still not mating with you..."
Silver whined some more, then he had an idea! He crawled to a bush near Sonic, who was watching fireflies fly past him. "Hey, Sonic..."
"Yeah?"
"Who do you wanna mate with when it's mating season?"
"...either Shadow or that grassy wolf over there."
"His name is Scourge, I wouldn't mate with him if I were you."
"Why not?"
"He'll mate with you, just for the cubs and then he'll ditch you forever."
