This
show might as well have the words SLASH in the opening titles in big
red letters my first real attempt and slash unless you count
'something hidden' which is really just drabble. I normally don't
read slash let alone write it. (Alougth I've got nothing against
people who do.) But there's so much chemistry between Merlin and
Arthur this pairing just works.
You
have to be good at pretending to be a Prince. Here are five things
Prince Arthur refuses to acknowledge ever happened.
5
Merlin
was assisting Arthur with his armour. He reached up to do the final
clips on the straps on Arthurs shoulders when the boys lips touched.
Before either of them realised what was happening they were kissing passionately. Merlin came to his senses first and pulled away. As soon as he caught his breath Arthur glared at his servant with authority.
"That never happened" he said.
4
Arthur
was soaking wet. He had been on patrol with the knights of Camelot
when the heavens had opened. His manservant Merlin helped him into
some dry clothes but the way he did it.
His hands caressing the Prince's muscles as he did so.
Arthur was sure that wasn't necessary.
He was definitely sure it wasn't necessary for him to do the same back to his servant.
There was a knock at the door.
"Sire the king wants to see you." called a messenger from outside.
Pushing Merlin away Arthur finished dressing himself.
And once again told Merlin
"That never happened."
3
Even
the great prince of Camelot has bad dreams.
After a night of terror there's nothing more reassuring than Merlin.
Coming in early with breakfast. Sliding into Arthur's bed and holding him close.
Comfort even for a short time.
But of course as Arthur tells Merlin
"That never happened."
2
Arthur
is not too surprised to wake up and find himself naked and entwined
with his equally naked manservant. Most of the night before is a blur
but Arthur didn't enjoy it of course he didn't because,
"That never happened."
1
Arthur
goes to find Merlin annoyed that he's late. He finds Merlin in
Gaius's chambers sorting some bottles of medicine for the elderly
physician. Merlin trips and the entire shelf comes crashing down.
But Merlin mutters something and the shelves and medicines freeze in mid air.
Merlin mutters something else and the shelves and bottles fall back into place.
Arthur clears his throat.
As Merlin turns to face him his terror is obvious.
But Arthur speaks those words Merlin is so used to hearing.
"That never happened."
