Kakashi found Iruka's smile contagious. He's never seen such a pure smile. And he watched Naruto when Iruka would smile, to see that same smile fall onto the child's face two fold. Because no one could smile as big as Naruto. Even though he and Iruka had been in a relationship for some time now, he was always fascinated about how their smiles never faltered when they were with each other. To tell the truth, Kakashi was jealous. Not just a little, He was really jealous of the blond. Iruka had always told him that he was special to the brunette, but he knew that he was the lover, Naruto was the son. He played with the idea that Iruka was sometime like the earth, and he was his moon, and Naruto was his sun. He remembered hearing a story about the earth's daughter, who was a loving young woman who helped the animals of the forest. One day, a warrior with bright yellow hair came and stole her away. He took her every where, and bought her all she wanted. She quickly fell for the man, but before they could get married, another man caught her eye. This one was a great scholar, cool and calm, always traveling under the man she loved. His hair was white as snow and she quickly fell for him. But when her first love found out, he announced that the other should be killed. She was torn, and went to her mother, Earth, and begged for help. Her mother through the two in into the sky, and gave each 12 hours with her daughter, thus the creation of Night and Day came about. He smiled at the idea of Iruka as a young woman. Then shivered at what Iruka would do to him if he found out he was thinking that. He wished he could be Iruka's sun, to be his first love, but he always told himself the old childish saying first the worst, second the best. It was oddly soothing, and kept him from killing Naruto whenever he was around.
"Kakashi?"A warm hand linked with his, and he was pulled out of his musings to smile at the man of his thoughts."Penny for your thoughts?"Iruka asked, warm brown eyes peering at him. Kakashi bent down and kissed his lips through his mask, making tan cheeks blush.
"Just thinking of you."He said, making the blush deepen. Iruka gave him that smile. The bright one, that never seemed to get old, and smiled back at him. He again found himself wondering how someone could have such a beautiful smile. Then he heard the
dreaded sound of a loud Iruka-sensei! He half glared at Naruto's back, chanting in his head 'First the worst, Second the best.'
