DOCTOR WHO: END OF THE WAR
-'s POV
This war has gone on too long. My 8th incarnation was dragged into the Time War right after his first adventure. It took a while for him to leave. Before that, he witnessed the resurrection of the Master and Rassilon, the deaths of Susan and Romana, as well as fought many foes. He faced the Nightmare Child, a dalek-mutant-like creature bigger then a Dalek mother ship. He fought the Black Guardian for the final time. He fought the final battle with the Valeyard. Then he ran away, helping when he could, and then he, the Doctor, turned into me, a soilder undeserving of such a title. Now here I am, thief of the Moment, heading towards my own old home, to end this damn war.
Time Lords of Gallifrey, Daleks of Skaro, I salute you all. But today, this war shall end. No more... No more...No. More...
As soon as I entered my childhood home, I took the Moment out of the sack he was carrying. "Now, how do you work? Why is there never a big red button?" I spoke aloud. Being the most experienced Time Lord in the cosmos, debatedly, I found my way through the gears, and strangely, a big red gem, like a button, was revealed, though it seemed hesitant to appear.
Maybe the stories of the Moment being sentient were true.
I moved my hand towards the gem, but became hesitent. Could I do this? Do I have the right? Images of the children of Gallifrey flashed through my mind. How many am I going to burn?
No. This may not be the right thing but it is the only option. It's this or let the whole universe burn. The lives of many out weigh the lives of few.
I almost pressed my hand against the gem, but stopped. What if I survive this? How will I be able to live with this decision?
Stop being selfish, I'll get around to it if that happens.
I pressed my hand against the gem. That's when my memory gets blurry. I remember pain. I felt like I was regenerating, yet I wasn't. I blacked out.
When I awoke I found myself in the TARDIS. I was alive. But...did I succeed in destroying the Time Lords and Daleks. I set the coordinates for a few hundred miles from where Gallifrey would be. When I arrived, all I saw was the remains of Dalek ships. I did it. I destroyed two mighty civilivations, one of which mine. And I survived.
DAMMIT!
Feeling like I had died, I closed the TARDIS doors, ashamed by my actions, ashamed that I was still alive. Suddenly I felt great pain. It felt like I was dieing. My vision turned into shades of yellow, orange and gold. I was regenerating. "I see. Makes sense, wearing a bit thin. I do hope he's a bit less incanspicuas this time." I said to myself as I started to change.
DOCTOR'S POV
As I awoke a new man, I looked around the TARDIS, feeling a sense of discust. "I say we hide my past life, and that includes this desktop theme," I stated, not wanting to aknowledge my previous life's actions. I flipped some of the switches on the console, preparing a new desktop theme. "As long as we do that, I am the Doctor again," I murmured as I went to get some new clothes.
