If silence were a sound, the Forest Haven would have been the loudest place in the Great Sea. But it wasn't, and therefore Makar was enveloped in the thick fog of nothingness. He had been trying to catch a Forest Firefly for a few hours now, and because of this he was tired. When the Forest Firefly got bored of tricking the Wind Sage and left, Makar settled down into a bed of flowers and fell asleep.
When the wind whispers, someone learns a secret…
The words kept on playing in his head, over and over, like a broken record. Something stung his mask… trying to grab it, trying to pull it off.

Makar tried to secure his mask from coming off, but the claws of the wind furiously tried to rip it up.

Makar saw a gigantic tree in a spacious clearing, screaming and bouncing. Suddenly, a young boy popped out. Was it…? Makar instantly recognized Master Link, the boy who had saved him from Kalle Demos in the Forbidden Woods.

Makar recognized the tree as well. It was The Great Deku Tree! But something was wrong. The Tree was turning black, shriveling up… Master Link cried at the roots… The Deku Tree didn't do anything…

Once again, wind was at Makars' mask, ferociously raking it with claws…
Makar screamed at the wind, "I am a sage! Stop! I control… you… wind…" Makar collapsed as the wind overtook him. His friend… His partner…
