My eyes wandered over his perfect face, trying to absorb and memorize every detail before I had to pry myself from his warm, strong arms yet again. Merlin, he was gorgeous; his untidy raven black hair, which was noticeably more mussed at the moment from my hands running through it. His deep, crystalline green eyes that always seemed like they could see right through me. His round glasses were slightly crooked on his face, the black frames contrasting perfectly with his pale skin. Everyone thought we hated each other; they had no idea how completely wrong they were. I, Draco Malfoy, was secretly dating the famous Harry Potter.

It was with great hesitation as I pulled myself out of his arms and looked at the time. Eleven o'seven p.m. I had to get back to the Slytherin common room from the Gryffindor dormitory before anybody noticed I wasn't in my own bed. Harry had been lending me his Invisibility Cloak so I could sneak in and out of the common rooms unnoticed. Tonight had been one such night, I snuck in the Gryffindor common room with a crowd of first years, crept up to his dormitory, and waited for him to come up to bed. Once he came up we put a Silencing Charm on the bed as well as Muffliato, and we drew the curtains around his bed (and no, we didn't do that, shame on you and your dirty thoughts). I usually stayed later than this but Harry had been selected to compete in the Triwizard Tournament as a fourth champion and the final task was tomorrow. He needed his sleep.

He looked up at me as I slowly and unwillingly stood up and made ready to leave, a look of loss on his face.

"Draco, please," he whined. "Stay with me tonight."

It took every ounce of will I had to not jump back into his bed and take him up on his offer. I shook my head sadly. "Harry, you know I would if I could," I said. "But the third task is tomorrow and you'll need all the strength you can get." I turned and walked down the stairs, Harry got out of bed and followed me down.

I was halfway across the room when Harry said, "I wish we didn't have to sneak around so much."

I turned and wrapped my arms around his neck. "I know," I whispered. "I do too, but it's just so complicated, we're supposed to be bitter enemies but somehow we've fallen for each other. My family is a whole line of Dark wizards, yours fought against them. It's so messed up, but we'll work it out somehow, okay?" I wished I could stay in his arms forever. "Harry, I do need do go, as much as I want to stay. Be careful tomorrow. I don't want you to get hurt or killed, I kind of like you."

Harry smiled and kissed my forehead. "Okay, I hate you, Draco Malfoy," he said.

I laughed and kissed him on the lips one more time. "I hate you too, Potter," I answered.

As I climbed through the portrait hole and into the corridor, I covered myself with the Invisibility Cloak, smiling to myself as I made my way back to the dungeons. My relationship with Harry was and would be complicated, we knew that going into it; but of three things I was completely sure: First, I loved Harry James Potter. Second, he loved me. Third, this was one thing my father would never hear about.
