My first venture into the Avengers fandom. If you are waiting for an update on any of my Yu-Gi-Oh stories...you probably shouldn't. I'm not really into that fandom anymore.
Anyway! I own nothing, here's my sorry attempt at poetry.
"Heroes never die (until this one did)"
Heroes never die, they claim
Heroes will always find a way
So why, oh why, tell me why
Did this man (hero) have to die?
Why do his eyes no longer dance
Cunning shone there, once
An ability to bring any man to his knees
Why do his hands no longer twitch
Mind moving beyond even their speed
These inventions so many could never understand
Why does his heart not shine
Blueness radiating from a metal core
A machine for a heart, but who could challenge him?
Why does his mouth not move
Words of fire sprang from his tongue
Just shields for his shattered heart, his battered soul
He was a hero – don't deny it
He may have had faults
Not recommended
But those created him, and he was singular
He may have hurt so many
Merchant of Death
But he atoned for his wrongs, many times over
He may have even longed for darkness
Palladium in the chest
But he strove for the light, just days ago
So why, oh why, did he have to die?
Reviews and feedback is always welcome! (Please?)
