The sky was slightly faded away, painted of a violet which was inclined to fall into darkness. Sen was in a wood, she was staring her reflection on a stream, in the meanwhile she was wondering how that could be possible. It was all over.
She missed Rin's yells, the noise of Kamaji's boilers, No-face, her grandma, and Haku.
Sometimes, while she was sitting in the yard, watching sunsets, or watching that beautiful starry sky at night, she felt a whisper, or it is better to say a murmur, brushing against her. That made feeling her less lonely.
It often happend and always in the best moment. It happend when she runned down to the streets, when she sang and when, watching the sky, she made a wish while a shooting star had fallen somewhere into the world. Maybe, who could say that, it would have fallen not so far from Haku.
And he, laughing, would have piked it up.
'Cause he knew.
And he would have smiled, wondering how it was possible that, that kind of things can happen. Coincidences, fate, destiny?
It started to rain dreadfully, in that little wood. But she didn't move, she remained still. She felt every ticking of rain stinging her body. But she didn't want to get up. For a second she saw a moment of poetry, in the rain's downfall.
And then, she felt it.
The blow, the whisper, a light voice which brushed against her neck.
She smiled, in a way she had not for a longtime.
"I miss you so much" she said. She had a lump in her troat, but she didn't want to interrupt herself. 'Cause she knew that if she did it, she would have no courage to say those things anymore.
Now a chilly breeze was girding her hips, while her stomach was burning and she was about to cry. "I know I don't own to your world. And it's terrible. It's like I was far away from home, 'cause for the first time I have known what to feel oneself at home means." And she started crying. Desperatley.
While the wind was going to blow she shouted "HAKU DON'T LET ME GO"
The storm increased, raging. The wind was howling undaunted between the trunks of weeping willows, moving their foiliage dreadfully.
And then, it happend.
She was suddenly flowing in the air. Haku held her hand and he started to her. Smiling.
And Sen was crying, because she had believed she might not see that smile anymore.
They hugh each other, she held him on tigh. She was afraid of losing him again.
They cried and smiled.
"I know that you would have not forget me" said Sen "I'll take you always with me. Everywhere. Once you've met someone, you'll never really forget them. They become a part of you."
They was flowing in the air, when it became totally dark. The storm ad stopped and there were a lot of stars.
They saw falling one.
"I've to go" said Haku.
She keep him closer, and she pretended not to hear.
Sen did not feel Haku's hand in hers, then she felt her body swoop into empty. She was alone into darkness when she touched down, and she perceived it; the nothing.
Sen was into the wood. She opened her eyes, she leaned her hands on the ground so as to get up and she felt something.
She turned her glance.
A piece of meteor.
She smiled.
