Take my eldest son, Hadrian was always the weakest and a disappointment to me. Go! Be gone from my land!
Those words rang through Hadrian's head as he rode with the Stark's to see the king's justice done to a deserter from the wall. Hadrian was unlike the rest of his kin, or so he had heard. Hadrian had black hair and green eyes making him unlike any Greyjoy before him.
Hadrian knew that people whispered about him, calling him a 'bastard' and other things, but none of it was true. For those who are close enough to know the real Hadrian, he was kind, quiet and honorable. However they also called him a coward because Hadrian avoided fighting. He hated fighting. He had enough of it.
'You look like your thinking hard about something Hadrian, try not to hurt yourself'.
Hadrian turned to his head to look at Robb who's blue eyes where alight with mirth and worry for his friend. It was common for people to worry about Hadrian, since it a young age he was plagued with nightmares throughout the night. They believed the nightmares to be of the grey joy rebellion and Hadrian saw no need to tell them of the truth.
Hadrian returned with 'Aye, just thinking of how I'm going to beat you in the next spar we have Stark'. Hadrian heard the Starks laughing at this, from Lord Eddard to little Bran. While Hadrian was not bad with Swords, his skinny build meant that he did not have the strength necessary to hold his own in a fight.
'With arms like those?' Jon Snow said 'they don't look like they could hold a sword never mind swing one'.
Hadrian grinned at the good nature teasing from the Stark's, whom he had lived with since he was eight. In that time they had become more of a family to him than his old one ever was. It had taken time but eventually the quiet boy had opened up to the Stark's, each one of them having a space in his heart.
Hadrian viewed Lady Catelyn as a mother and Lord Eddard as a father, both of them contributing to the man that he was today. Robb and Jon are both good friends of his and he spent the majority of his time with them, not caring the slightest about Jon's bastard status.
Lady Sansa was a beautiful, perfect little lady; however Hadrian felt that she was too naive and innocent. Hadrian knew better than anyone that innocence does not last. Lady Arya was as different from Sansa as the sun was from the moon Hadrian thought. Arya looked more like a boy than a girl, and absolutely despised anything to do with being a 'lady', she often begged Hadrian to train her, and something he did with joy.
Hadrian saw up ahead of their party that people where stopping their horses, and he knew it must be time.
Justice must be done Hadrian though grimly
A/N: I've been thinking about writing this for a while. I'm not sure if I will continue it or not, and even if I decide to keep writing it the updates won't come fast. Please give me some advice, it will be appreciate. Also I promise that Future Chapters will be a lot longer, this is only an introduction.
