Chapter 1:
I flicked my tail and shot forward like a missile. I darted as quickly as I could. I couldn't afford to be late again! I darted through the bustling hallways, hearing the angry voices coming behind me.
"Hey!"
"Not so fast, Shona!"
"Whoa!"
"Careful; you'll break a fin at that speed!"
"Watch where yer goin' hotshot!"
I groaned. I knew that voice for sure. I turned around and saw my doom. Millana Clamfish. Millana was the big time bully, and she always got what she wanted. Oh, God, I thought. What does she want?
"Shona, ya got some dirt on my fin! Yeh gotta wipe it, Shona, yah dirty bitch!!" I heard Millana shout. She could possibly be the biggest disgrace of the name mermaid in this century.
Her grammar was preposterous, her posture was a horror, and her hair was a rat's ass.
I turned around. Millana was glaring at me. "Mill, there's no dirt, and I won't wipe anything,"
"Oh, is that whas' gonna 'appen 'round 'ere? Do we always gotta end 'dis wit violence? I'm gon' give ya one more chance. Are ya gon' give in now?"
"No," I said, holding my head up. By now, a crowd had gathered. By the look on Millana's face, this was not going to end well for me.
