Every dragon slayer seems to have an excede or some kind of pet like cobra had his snake so this is how Laxus got an excede and also about Happy and Natsu and Lily and Gajeel. Also Laxus's excede will be in the rest of the one-shots.
It was a normal day in fairy tail until all of a sudden a little yellow excede walked through the door to the guild. Levy, Lucy and Lisanna all walked up to the excede and Lisanna picks it up.
"What's your name?" Lisanna asked.
"I'm bolt." Replied the excede who we now know is bolt.
"Aw you're so cute." Said Lucy.
Happy, Lily and Carla came over to them all of a sudden Lisanna had an idea.
"Hay Laxus why don't you take Bolt." Suggested Lisanna and just received a look of confusion from Laxus.
"Why would I want a cat?" Asked Laxus
"Because you're a dragon slayer and every dragon slayer needs a cat." Replied Lisanna
"What about cobra he didn't have a cat."
"Yes but he had a snake."
Laxus got up from his table and walked over to Lisanna who is still holding bolt.
"So cat can you do anything besides fly?" Laxus asked.
"I have a battle form." And with that reply he jumped out of Lisanna's arms and changed into his battle form which is just like Lily's with a sword strapped to his back.
"Ok I'll keep you then." After Laxus said that he and his new cat, which had shrunk back into normal size, went to his with his team.
The relationship between the male dragon slayers are very weird like Natsu and Happy have been together for as long as Happy has he alive, Gajeel only has lily because he was jealous of Natsu and Wendy and Laxus only kept the excede because he has a battle form.
A couple months after Laxus got his excede the dragon slayers had to go on a mission without the excedes so the excedes got to decide who they wanted to stay with hears how that arrangement turned out.
-with happy and Natsu-
"So buddy you get to decide who you want to stay with until I get back from my mission." Natsu explained.
"I want to stay with Lucy." Happy decided as he flew over to Lucy and sat in her lap.
-With lily and Gajeel-
"So who you going to stay with than cat." Gajeel asked the only answer he got was lily flying into levy's lap with a smirk on his face.
-With bolt and Laxus-
Before Laxus could even ask bolt anything he flew into Lisanna's lap.
-With Lucy, levy and Lisanna at the bar-
The three girls where just talking about random stuff till happy flew into Lucy's lap. They looked at happy for an answer until lily flew into levy's lap. After lily bolt flew into Lisanna's lap. They all looked at each other and then looked around for the dragon slayers but they couldn't find them so lily explained the situation.
"Gajeel, Natsu and Laxus went on a mission we aren't allowed on so we got to chose who we stay with until they get back."
When the three dragon slayers got back they realised the excedes chose to stay with each girls on purpose and that bolt now was very comfy in the guild and make everyone as happy as any other member of the guild.
I know that this chapter was more about Laxus and bolt but I needed to introduce bolt or the other chapters wouldn't make sense.
