KISS OF TRUTH
Dsclaimer: I don't own Snape or Hermione. JKR does.
A/N: this is my first story. I would appreciate reviews! And I need a beta!
She remembered when it had first started. It had been in her seventh year. She had thought the day would be just an ordinary day at Hogwarts, or as normal as life could be when one is a close friend of Harry Potter. It had happened after a potions class, three days after her birthday. She remembered Severus telling her to stay after class. She did, of course. She walked up to his desk, and he asked her, quite politely, to come around to where he was sitting. As she had approached, he had stood up, and in one fluid motion, leaned down and kissed her. She had been quite surprised, and he, mistaking her surprise for rejection, abruptly pulled away. "I am sorry. Miss Granger, for that. I simply wanted to know if you had feelings for me." She had thought, 'that has rather described his odd behavior'. He had been acting strange that past week. Often times, she had looked up to see him intently staring at her. As soon as she noticed, he abruptly looked away. He had also not bean his usual snarky self when calling on her. Hermione figured, now that he had just kissed her, that he had been planning this moment for a long time. Truth be told, she did have feelings for the potions master. So, she leaned up and brought his face to hers, kissing him. When they finally broke apart, Hermione saw something that she had never seen in her professors eyes: hope and joy. "Does that explain my feelings enough?" she quietly asked. From that point no, they had started seeing each other privately. Many kisses were stolen in deserted corridors. A year later, he had proposed to her. They were married the next week. Now, looking from her slightly swollen belly to her husband sleeping peacefully beside her, Hermione rested he head on Severus's chest and fell asleep.
