Reminiscing
It's Friday morning and right now I'm sitting in my office looking at my old year book. Looking at old pictures of the ducks and the other friends I made.
"Lia we really need that piece on the boston bruins so we can get this newspaper to print is it almost ready?" My boss Mindy asks
"Yea it's almost done I just have to proof It and send it to Don" I say to her. Don is the editor. Just incase you were wondering, I'm the sports writer for the New York Times. Yes I know what you're thinking, but it's actually a really good job. Well, after I turned 18 I realized that France just wasn't for me, so I moved to New York and went to NYU. I got a degree in writing and here I am, writing sports articles for the New York Times.
I turn to the page of me and Dwayne on our last day and all the memories that I pushed away come flooding back.
"Don't worry we will see each other again. And remember I'll always be here for you I promise!"
My best friend Mary walks in.
"Oh my, whats wrong?" She asks then looks down at my desk.
"Oh… Lia… I'm so sorry" She says and gives me a hug.
"But on the upside, I just got 2 tickets for the hockey game on Saturday." She says
"We have to do a report on it and have it in by Wednesday. So it shouldn't be hard, guess who's playing?" she asks me.
"Who?" I ask her
"The Detroit red wings and the Colorado Avalanches!" She says
"Cool" I love the Avalanches.
"Yea... we get to do an interview with one of the players on each team, so since I know you love the Avalanches I'll let you do them, and I'll so the red wings… okay?" She says
"Thank you, I love you !" I say to her and give her a big hug!
Waiting and Anticipating this Saturdays game.
