A/N: A tag to Criminal Minds season 1, "Somebody´s Watching". Reid is contemplating the possibility weather to call Lila Archer or not.

When Reid got home from work that that night, he kept repeating Morgan´s words in his thoughts. "Here, I´ll tell you what I know. You don´t have to come up with that answer tonight."

And Morgan was right. He didn't.

But Reid found that the harder he was trying not to think of her and how he wanted to hear her voice again, the more he did think of her.

As he was telling Morgan, he was just trying to figure out if this feeling he had was ever going to go away. Right now he was pretty sure, he didn't want it to.

At some point it all felt so unreal now. How she had pulled him down in the pool with her, how he had kissed her.

He really wanted to believe that she didn't just kiss him because she thought he was her hero. After all he had tried explaining to her about transference and the fact that she probably only liked him because he was there to protect her. But it he wasn't sure she´d understood that completely. He´d had a difficult time saying anything in those moments in the pool.

And this was the real problem. Did she like him for real or was it just some temporal attraction? He was sure he liked her for real. But then again. They had known each other for less than four days. How could anyone tell if they liked somebody for real after such a short amount of time?

So it all came down to the same question. Should he call her?

Logically it was the best idea. They could talk this over and find out where they were going. If they were going anywhere. This was the main reason, Reid hesitated calling her. The fear of rejection, he knew was irrational. That fear had more than once prevented him from doing what he really wanted. Like on the date with JJ. He had really wanted to kiss her that night, but hadn't had the guts.

Reid mentally scolded himself. He was tired of the fact that he always seemed to miss out on things because he was so awkward and shy. He had more than once wished he could be a little more like Morgan around the girls. Reid knew this was stupid, but really didn't care. At some point he liked having secrets like these.

As the time grew later, and the sun started to set, Reid realized he wasn't going to find an answer that night. So he went to sleep, troubled by dreams of pools, kisses and the phone call he hesitated to make.
