There was a resounding thud as Emma's knife sailed past the targed and into the wooden paneling in the training room. She let out a loud groan and went to fetch it.
"Its okay Em, youll get em next time!" Julian called, laughing. Emma threw a glare over her shoulder at him before bending to pick up her knife. Julian Laughed again and turned to look out the huge window. Emma's boyfriend, Robert Brandwell, joined him.
"She looks really tired," he said, sounding concerned.
"Yeah," Julian answered, absent-mindedly. "She was tossing and turning all night. I don't think she really got any sleep. I know I didn't."
Robert froze. "What?" he asked, sounding confused. He was staring at Julian, and Julian could do nothing but stare back. He rocked back on his heels slightly, unsure of what to say.
Emma sauntered over. "Whats up? She asked, sounding tired.
"Julian just told me that he couldn't sleep last night because you were tossing and turning?" Robert said, asking her to deny it.
Emma smacked Julian in the stomach. "At least I'm not a blanket hog! I was tossing and turning because I was freezing!" Roberts's mouth fell open, and he started back and forth between the two of them..
Emma and Julian looked at each other before saying "What?"
"You two…sleep in the same bed…and you don't think that's weird?" He asked. Emma shrugged and Julian smiled at him. "You two…." He started, and then cut himself off. "I thought I could deal with the whole parabatai super-close thing, but this is the final straw. I mean, never leaving each others side is one thing…but sleeping in the same bed? You two are weird." Robert shook his head before abruptly turning on his heel and leaving the training room.
"His loss," Julain, as Emma said "Whatever."
