A very short humorous ONESHOT. Written preRENT during Rogers withdrawal.

My camera was hooked to the handlebars of my bike and I was gliding through the New York streets, when I saw it.

The metal part was shining in the sun. It was so beautiful and so rare to a poor bohemian like myself. I rode up next to it and jumped off my bike.

After making sure no one was watching I picked it up and shoved it into my messenger bag. This was sure to cheer up Roger. His withdrawal was at its worst.

I got back on my back and started as fast as I could toward the loft that I call home. I went up the stairs as fast as I could with a bike in tow and stumbled quite a few times.

I threw open the loft door and yelled, "Just wait til you see what I found!"

Collins sat up from his spot on the couch and looked at me, "What is it boy?"

"Where's Roger man? This has got to cheer him up!"

"He's in his room…. what did you find? Calm down before you wet yourself."

I ran into Rogers door and swung the door open to find my sickly shivering friend sitting on his bed caressing his guitar.

"Roger your not going to believe what I brought you."

He barely looked at me, he didn't care. But of course he didn't care, he hadn't seen it yet.

I reached into my messenger bag, pulled it out, and handed it to Roger.

Roger jumped up and grabbed it smiling at me.

"Thanks so much Mark. This is just what I need."

Roger held up the red spiral notebook into the light as though worshipping it, "Paper!"
