CHAPTER 1: KONOHA BOUND
Prince: Okay, the plot for this redo is basically the same as before. Naruto takes the class of 3A (plus Kiactu's little group and Kotaro) to Konoha where they interact with all of the people who influenced his life. But the only change is going to be the fact that the villains from the light novels (the ones created after the Naruto manga ended) are going to make appearances, no OC villains like last time. I've redone this entire series just before the Last, so Naruto and Hinata are not a couple . . . yet. But the others mentioned will be . . . except maybe for Sai/Ino. Mostly because I kind of don't understand that pairing.
Kiactu: Pairings are the same as the main series:
Naruto/harem
Negi/Ayaka/Anya
Kotaro/Natsumi
Kiactu/Witch Hunter harem/OC harem
Pairings for Naruto characters are canon, give or take two of them. Hinata/Naruto and Sai/Ino. One because the latter feels kind of forced. The light novels just seem to try and force it. Well, I'm mostly against it since there is little to no interaction between Sai and Ino. But strangely I'm not against Choji/Karui.
Prince: I know, right? I can kind of understand Choji and Karui not really knowing each other because they live in different villages. But Sai and Ino? The two live in the same village and yet we don't see any interaction between the two of them.
CHAPTER START
"Could I have everyone's attention please?" Everyone turned their attention from talking to a young man with shoulder-length silver hair that spiked in the back. The young man wore an open vest over a white button-up shirt, a tie hanging off his neck (along with a pair of black jeans and black sneakers). His eyes were concealed by a white blindfold. He stood in a line-up consisting of young men around the same demographic age (from 10 – 18). One was a blond that appeared about eighteen. He was taller with short spiky hair. He wore a long-sleeved polyester hoodie colored orange showing bandages wrapped on his right hand. A pair of orange shorts matched with the hoodie and black sandals.
The next young man was about the same age as the last one, which was about 10 or 11. He had spiky black hair with a little ponytail, much like the silver-haired youth. Actually, the last one also had a hairstyle like him as well. The black-haired boy had a feral look about him, like he was more dog than human. The last young man was a short redhead about the same age (and height) as the boy before him. He wore a green suit and had a massive pack on his back. A staff with a crooked end hung from the pack.
"You know you didn't have to dress that fancily, Negi," the first teen pointed out. "The people mostly wear traditional Japanese clothing." Although, many shinobi wore slightly modern clothing. If anything, no one there really wore Western formal wear. Hell, they could've worn anything they wanted (Anko did wear a revealing fishnet shirt barely covered by a tan-ish overcoat; hell, even Ay wore a white overcoat, pants fastened with some kind of belt with an oni-face buckle, and sandals) as long as their modesty was covered.
"Now, what I wanted to say is that this place is going to be dangerous," the silver-hair explained. "Even though the main villages are in a state of peace, there are bandits and the like. There are bigger versions of pests there starting from bees to spiders, but they all have their own little island. Unfortunately, that is way out of our way if anyone wants to see them." Well, maybe not the bees if they want to go to . . . say . . . Iwagakure. "Some animals are sentient, like I would say toads, snakes, and slugs (though they also have some that aren't) and some animals are like I said bigger than they are regularly."
The girls probably heard of camel spiders (which are bigger than small children and dogs) but the spiders of the Elemental Nations ate those for breakfast and still got hungry. "We will be meeting up with a group of people that will take us to Naruto's home village. They are trained to detect danger and protect you but be warned. One of them is a bit . . ." What was the word to describe Kiba? A player? A hound dog (ironic)? ". . . eccentric."
So, Kiactu (the silver-haired "youth") left it up to Naruto (the blond) to explain more. Noticing that they were missing another group of students, he dragged the black-haired boy behind him as he explored the massive academy. "Don't worry," he told a rather busty brunette and a rather normal-sized freckled redhead, "I'll have him back before you get ready to go." Besides, it was mostly his plan to go anyway.
Eventually finding a log cabin somewhere in the woods, Kiactu knocked on the door. "Hey, Kiactu-shishou, why are we going to that crazy woman's house?" the black-haired youth asked.
"Because I want to see why she wasn't in that lineup of people waiting to go to the Hidden Nations," Kiactu told him. "Does she just plan to stay here for the month or two while we go?"
"Kiactu-san." Kiactu turned to the person who called out his name. She looked human enough, minus the joints that showed when her skirt moved . . . not to mention those two ear-like antennae on the top of her head. "Ah, Maru-chan, is Eva still here?"
"Yes. Master wasn't expecting you, but I will tell her you were here." Before the gynoid closed the door, Kiactu stuck his hand through. Ignoring that crunching pain that went with breaking all fingers connected to the hand that was now jammed inside the crack, Kiactu forced it open. "Sorry for disturbing you, Maru-chan, but I need to talk with her."
As each finger cracked and knitted bone underneath the skin, Kiactu waited for the master of the cabin. It wasn't until he heard a crash and cursing did he suddenly feel like he should hide behind something. "What the hell do you want, you ancient idiot?" The owner of that voice belonged to a little girl with long blonde hair. Her tone seemed to place her nationality towards British.
"I just wanted to see why you were not going with us to the Hidden Nations," Kiactu answered. "I was hoping that you would go with us." To better know her teacher's assistant. Evangeline Athanasia Katherine McDowell glared at the person before her. She knew that in a straight fight he would be able to take her. "So what's in it for me?"
Kiactu explained that there were multiple sealing techniques back in Konohagakure. Some he was sure would override whatever they could find studying on Library Island. "Just a backup plan until we can find Nagi. And even then, what's to say that he won't forget that he promised to release you? I mean, it's been at least ten years since he left you here." And Kiactu knew that even he would forget to unseal someone after ten years. Plus, if she was right about Nagi being sort of like Naruto, then he was sure Nagi forgot he had sealed someone in Mahora.
"And if this doesn't work?"
"Then you can have my head."
". . . You don't have to give it to me. If I know you, your head would just keep talking to me forever even without a body." And she did not want him getting Chachazero to get even more aggravating. The two together were a burden on her nerves. "Why is that dog-brat with you anyways?"
"Because I wanted him to see how I do this temporary barrier override." And with that, Kiactu began to gather energy. Thankfully, no one could feel it outside Evangeline's home, but inside he knew that Evangeline and Kotaro could feel his power steadily rising. His right arm began to writhe as his power increased before bursting, the bandages keeping it wrapped from sight nearly shredding from the pressure. They fell to the ground before Kiactu opened his mouth. His now exposed right arm was nearly black in color before a reddish color took over. Each joint sharpened to a point as his black nails turned into claws of the same color. It took on a scaly appearance as blue runes traveled down the forearm to the wrist. Once the runes wrapped around his wrist, a three-eyed design appeared on the back of his hand.
Kiactu pressed said hand onto the floor, where a ripple echoed throughout the entire academy before spreading into the shield.
"What did you just do?" Evangeline growled.
"I just told the barrier surrounding that I would be taking over for you. It's drawing off my energy now so I'm just going to leave a clone at your house." And while that clone was here, the barrier would register Kiactu as the "battery" instead of Evangeline for an allotted amount of time. "I'd say for about a month and a half, which is when we're coming back."
"What about that second barrier? The one keeping me in here?"
"All I have to do is flare up the power in that clone and it should mask any leaving, even yours." Analogically putting it, if Evangeline was the battery to every seal in here, Kiactu was a generator. If she was an inmate, he was a warden that got trapped. "So, shall we go?"
It was a major surprise to Negi when his teacher appeared. After an explanation from Kiactu to Takahata, who had appeared moments before they arrived (and gave Kiactu an earful about releasing Evangeline for something as trivial as this), the group began to pack up. "Don't worry," Kiactu said to the chain-smoking teacher. "They're in capable, immortal hands. And if you don't trust me, trust Naruto and Negi."
Takahata sighed. "It's not that I don't trust you, Kiactu," he said. "It's that these girls don't know the world of battle like you, Naruto, and I. And I doubt your apprentice nor Negi do either." Negi didn't have to kill Fate, so he didn't. Naruto killed his opponents when he felt they were too far gone (Sasuke being the only exception). Kiactu did when he felt others were being threatened. Kiactu stayed silent at that comment before opening his mouth.
"Do not worry," he told him. "I'll wipe their memories of watching us battle if it comes to it. And the world of magic won't be exposed to that who already don't know of it because different multiverses have different rules. Just because magic works here doesn't mean that it will where we're going." KoP were against that rule because they worked outside of their jurisdictions. Naruto, Percy, Sora, Ichigo, and Kiactu could all use their natural abilities because the worlds depended on them to. And . . . that would eventually be his student Inugami Kotaro's journey as well.
Eventually Naruto and the others were going to grow older, so Kiactu would have to start over with another team. He also needed to create a new team for his old teammates.
Kiactu had explained to the girls that they would be taking a boat as soon as the train hit the station. He had rented out a cruise boat for at least fifty to sixty people. After saying his bit, he sat in a window seat overlooking the tracks. Kiactu's senses soon picked up that someone was in his near vicinity. Turning his attention towards the newcomer, Kiactu found himself staring at her exposed stomach out of the corner of his eyes, though he was sure that she couldn't tell.
The young lady had black hair tied up into a bun and looked to be about the age of sixteen. Her red hair was pulled into a little ponytail at the top of her head, with two bangs framing her face. She wore a black midriff showing shirt with a glitter kiss mark that covered most of the shirt and black shorts that came up an inch or two onto her thighs.
"What are you thinking about?" the girl asked. Kiactu turned his head fully to the girl to make it seem that he hadn't been staring at her for the past five minutes. "It was just something Takahata said," he replied. "I'm going to keep you guys safe. Right?" Not that any of them really need protection (at least, none of his girls).
"I guess."
"Hey, Mordred, tell me more about your tales. About Tasha and the Witch Hunter organization."
"What do I get in return?"
"I'll tell you about the witches from the world where Naruto and I learned how to synchronize our souls." The redhead closed her eyes before agreeing to the terms. "Well, I don't know how those witches differ from ours, but all of our witches got their powers from their hats." In order to defeat a witch, a Witch Hunter had to take the witch's hat and sent them to their version of Witch Alcatraz.
"Okay. I guess it's my turn. The witches from the SE1-verse don't have to use hats in order to access their powers. They use animal-themed enchantments. You could tell what animal they were associated with because they weren't exactly subtle about it." He explained that a witch named Medusa (when she wasn't hiding that she was a witch) wore something snake-related and always chanted something about snakes. "Also, there was kind of a requirement before a "weapon" could get even more powerful. They had to eat ninety-nine evil souls (or one equivalent Strong Soul) and one witch soul before they could become a Death Scythe, which enhanced their abilities."
Naruto was a special case. Since he was human he had to get ninety-nine Kishin souls. But also, since he was the container of the chakra of nine other massive creatures (each more powerful than your standard Death Scythe, yet not actual Death Scythes), he had to eat at least 99 times that (or 99 Strong Souls) and one Immortal Soul for each Bijuu. (AN: So that's 99*99*9 or 99 (normal amount of souls needed to become a Death Scythe) times 99 (Because a Bijuu is more powerful than a human, I decided that it would need 99 times – or 9,801 regular Kishin souls – the regular amount to become a Death Scythe) time 9 (the number of Bijuu). Which is 88,209 souls Naruto and Kiactu needs to collect. Not to mention 81 witch souls for each Tailed Beast (or 9 Immortal Souls; they're souls I created that that are stronger than a witch soul))
"How far are you guys on that now?"
"A strong soul is extremely rare to find," Kiactu answered. "Thankfully the worlds are vast enough to where we got Naruto and at least three of the Tailed Beasts to the Death Scythe status." It was a matter of time before Naruto and Kiactu got all the requirements to fully unleash the weapon's power.
It was a quick hop off the train to a bus station and then they were on their way to the sea. "I thought that a train station was by the ocean," Kiactu muttered to himself as he tried to read a map detailing the trip. "Meh. We're still heading to the direction we were supposed to, so I guess it's okay." Kotaro sat next to his master on the train trip quietly. A quick yawn escaped his lips, making Kiactu take notice before turning his attention back on the map.
"Kotaro, did you go to sleep last night?"
"Hai, shishou, why do you ask?" Kiactu looked at his student with a dead glance, getting the boy to chuckle nervously. "What?" The older man grabbed his face in each hand before taking a deep look into each eye. "Because your eyes seem a bit droopy. About what time?"
"Three . . . Maybe four."
"A kid like you should've went at least at nine last night. What were you doing?" Before Kotaro could answer, Kiactu stopped him. "You know what? Never mind. The true reason we're leaving for the Hidden Nations is because there's someone more suitable to teaching you than I. My styles are rusty compared to his." The man used to keep in top shape . . . until that battle he had. "Well, they were at one time. His student is still active though, so I should ask him first if he could teach Kotaro."
As long as they kept their "youth" out of it.
The bus eventually stopped at an enormous yacht-like boat. It was almost as big as a cruise ship in appearance. Each cabin was enough to hold five to six girls to a cabin and the commons area was almost as big as a ballroom. "I think buying this didn't even put a dent in my bank account." Thousands of years of world wandering (most of the worlds reusing the same type of money helped as well) and dozens of wills to various made-up names helped keep his account growing.
"He's rich?" some of the girls asked. Kiactu shrugged it off. "So I am. That doesn't really mean anything." Just that he could buy almost everything he wanted. Or needed. Most of their equipment did need to be repaired from time to time. Not to mention that the parts were expensive . . . and that the electricity and water bills were sky high. You'd think for five people co-living in an expensive place that it would be cheap to run. But it really isn't. "Money is just a means of living. I'm more of a bartering guy myself."
Like, in order to get something, he'd do something for it.
The ship moved after getting way. Kiactu stood on the deck overlooking the sea before making sure that no one else was there. He could feel the seals activating on the underside of the deck. "Mizugakure no Jutsu." Mist erupted around Kiactu's body, cloaking the entire boat in it before clouding the sky.
No one could see past the mist, which meant that no one could see the light encompassing the boat. Within a few minutes, the mist cleared up, showing a clear blue sky. In the distance was the port to a town on the Land of Fire's coast. The boat drew close before anchoring itself to the pier. The girls stepped off before taking in their surroundings.
The people were happily going about their way. Merchants sold their wares at the marketplace, children ran as adults conversed on what was happening in their lives. ". . . Within a few minutes of just observing the people and I can tell that no one uses technology," Asuna Kagurazaka (one of Negi's students) pointed out. It was like the people were tr.
"Well excuse my land for being old fashioned," Naruto grunted. He smiled before turning to the crowd of girls from Mahora. "Welcome to Hi no Kuni! Birthplace and resident nation of yours truly, Naruto Uzumaki."
"Little fun fact," Kiactu wanted to point out. "It's not called the Land of Fire because there are flames everywhere like you would think. It's called the Land of Fire because its weather is mostly very bright and very warm year-round." The other nations had their elements situated around their places (Kaminari no Kuni had many thunderstorms that gave it its name, Tsuchi no Kuni was mostly desolate rocky areas, Mizu no Kuni was made out of islands, and Kaze no kuni was mostly desert). "I'll go more into detail on the way there."
He frowned though. "I swear," Kiactu muttered. "I had said that we would need an escort. I even called it in." So where was his "escort"? He strained his ears to listen. Through the noise of the crowd he could hear someone yawn before commenting on how troublesome this mission was. It didn't take a genius for him to realize who exactly was coming. He listened for other people.
"Can't you ever seem excited for anything?" That voice was somewhat familiar. "Naruto and Kiactu are coming back home for a visit and you're acting like you watched the most boring thing in the world. I honestly wonder how Ino puts up with you and Mr. Overeater here."
"Hey!" a third voice took offense. "I can stop eating any time I want!" That was followed by the loud crunch of what Kiactu could tell was a potato chip being crushed in someone's mouth . . . or a really big bug getting stepped. ". . . I just don't want to." The sound of skin hitting skin could be heard. Kiactu didn't know if someone had been slapped or if someone was playing with a fish. "Why couldn't I just come with Hinata?"
"Do you want to go through that awkward thing she does around Naruto?" the disenchanted voice pointed out. ". . . You think she's finally going to get her feelings sorted out? I mean, it's been over two, three years since she confessed to him." Every girl there turned their eyes on Naruto, who was feeling kind of nervous with the extra attention. "Um . . . There was something bigger going on at the moment," he explained. She had confessed during the attack on his village and was severely hurt. Naruto had thought she had died and went near ballistic in front of her.
"Not to mention the whole 'I can't look uncool in front of you' feeling you gave her when those White Zetsu had you cornered," the disenchanted voice from earlier. It came from a young man with black hair pulled up into a spiky ponytail. His face seemed to match his mood, showing an irritated gaze at his female companion. Said companion was a girl with chin length pink hair parted to the left with a red hairclip, showcasing a green diamond marking on her forehead. His last and final companion was a heavyset young man with russet red hair and a goatee. On his cheeks were red swirl designs and under his eyes were red markings.
The ponytailed man wore a black outfit with mesh showing past the sleeves on his wrist. His right leg was taped and he wore sandals past his knees. A green chest guard with a pocket on his left side could be seen. The pink-haired girl wore a red qipao dress over black biker shorts. A black obi kept it tied. She wore black gloves and gray elbow and knee protectors.
The third and final escort was a stocky (not fat) young man. He wore what looked essentially like a red suit with armor on his shoulders, torso, and upper legs. On the chest plate he wore was the kanji for "food". He wore large wrist guards and his boots reached his calves (AN: Basically everyone wears their The Last outfits).
"Let me introduce you guys to our friends," Naruto said with a smile. "This is our resident strategic genius Shikamaru Nara. The woman is my friend and founder of the Konoha Child Mental Health Program Sakura Haruno and the big guy is Choji Akimichi."
"Naruto used to have a crush on Sakura," Kiactu pointed out. "I honestly think it mostly was a rivalry thing against his best friend Sasuke Uchiha. Like Naruto saw that Sakura was swooning over Sasuke and decided that he wanted to show him that he wasn't all that hot looking by making her fall for him. So, Kakashi couldn't spare anyone else?"
"We're the only ones who were available," Shikamaru replied. "A few days ago, Homura Mitokado was attacked at the hot springs so everyone was called out to investigate." He then went into an explanation that not soon after the ANBU Black Ops was given the money that was supposed to go into Sakura's Children's Mental Hospital. "Anything else?" Kiactu asked skeptically. It seemed that when Sai was attacked after talking with his informant, he had managed to capture one after a fierce battle. They weren't able to gather any information though as he committed suicide by an exploding seal.
Kiactu's hand covered his mouth in a thoughtful position. "From the way you made it sound, the guy didn't want to commit suicide. He was forced to after being defeated."
"Wait? What is this about people committing suicide?" Asuna asked over the crowd of whispers. Kiactu scratched the back of his head with a sheepish grin on his face. "I may have brought you girls during a rather turbulent time," he admitted. "About four years ago, there was this mad man who was hell bent on ruling the world using a massive creature. It wasn't until two years ago that Naruto was able to defeat that man and end his reign of terror." That was one of the simplest ways to explain what exactly happened. "People still keep his mentality, that power was the one true necessity. But now they're targeting people with money."
"Meaning . . ." Naruto was the one who answered. His voice was the one overheard the most.
"Right now, Kiactu has placed all of you in a rather serious situation."
CHAPTER END
Prince: Welcome all, to the renewed Trip to the Hidden Nations. I wanted to redo everything involving the KoP, which means that they will be done at the current power levels they are now. Naruto is as powerful as he is in The Last, Ichigo has twin swords that he calls Zangetsu, Sora is able to use his Drive Forms (including Limit), Percy is . . . Well, I stopped reading after The Last Olympian. I should really get back to that series. But you get my drift.
Kiactu: This first chapter was a bit dramatic, but don't worry. There are some funny scenes coming in sometime later. Also, this is using the same plot as Sakura Hiden and will feature some of the villains from the light novel series. OrganicDinosaur is translating each book as it comes out so please don't crowd her to speed up.
