Ahh! screamed thirteen year old Zuko as his own father burned him and called him a disgrace for not fighting an Agni Kai duel against his father. His left side of his face was literally on fire.
BOOM! the arena's doors were slammed open hard. Out burst Athena, the goddess of wisdom and battle strategy.
"You disobeyed the orders of a goddess!" Athena boomed to Fire lord Ozai. "And obeyed the orders of a god." came the reply behind her. Ares, a war god was standing behind her grinning. Ares was the god who, in the first place, gave Fire Lord Sozin, the idea of world dominance. At first, he was not a firebending god but he and Hestia, the original Fire goddess had a duel and he won the powers. He was the only person higher than the Fire Lord.
Athena's gray eyes narrowed until it was just two slits. She became so angry that she challenged Ares to a duel a year later.( In olympian time, a year is a very short amount of time.) Ares accepted. Everyone in the arena was already betting on who would win the battle and everyone voted for Ares accept General Iroh, Zuko's caring uncle.
Slowly, the crowd began to disperse until Athena, Iroh and Zuko was left crying in pain. They took him to his room where Athena would treat him instead of the nurse. Zuko's left eye, ear and cheek was burned badly.
Zuko's POV
I whimpered as a very beautiful woman worked on healing my burn. She looked at me when I whimpered and she gently stroked my other side of my face. Her touch was soothing and when she healed me I didn't feel much pain. Usually, my uncle sat by me when my wound was treated.
A few days later, I sat up in bed staring at the walls with half of my face covered with bandages. Outside, I heard my uncle and Athena, the goddess talking. I had found out that she was the one who had treated me and stood up for me against the Fire god. At first, it was a bit startling to find out a goddess, a very powerful goddess liked me and was taking care of me since the Agni Kai. It was the nicest thing any one has done for me since my mother had left.
Suddenly, I was snapped out of my thoughts when some one knocked on my door. My uncle, and my father walked in. I didn't know what to think when I saw my father. I didn't have to worry about it because what he told me, my head started spinning.
"Zuko, you are Banished because you are a disgrace to fire nation."
"Brother, you are making a terrible mistake, Don't do this." Iroh told his brother.
"Don't tell me what to do, I am the fire lord and I have come to a desision." Ozai replied.
I said "Please father, give me a second chance" I pleaded.
"No" said Fire lord Ozai and left.
