The day had be a very stressful one. After being chased off yet another alien planet, she was looking forward to a good rest. Rose quickly changed into her pajamas and hurried under the covers, leaving the Doctor to his own room.

A few hours later she was awoken by a knocking at her door. What could he want at this time? she wondered to herself. Sure enough, there he was standing in her door way, he looked sad. He, most likely had another nightmare, this happened almost every time he had to sleep.

"Rose," said in a very distant sounding voice that pained her every time he used it. He broke down into her arms and she hugged him and pulled him over to her bed.

"Shhh, it's over now, shhh," she said to him. The first time this happened, she was surprised and didn't know what to do, now this was a usual acurence. Rose pulled the Doctor into an embrace and let him cry on her shoulder.

After a while, the Doctor pulled away, out of tears for his people and his past. "Would you like to talk about?" Rose asked him softly. He shook his head. "Do you want to sleep here?" She asked. He nodded. They both climbed under the covers after Rose turned out the lights. The first night they spent together had been awkward and full of sexual tension, but as the nights passed, it became lees awkward and more casual and was rare that they didn't sleep together.

Rose rested her head on the Doctor's chest, listening to his hearts beat. He kissed the top of her head as she fell asleep on his chest. Rose made the Doctor less lonely in this multiverse of emptiness.
