AN: I was bored, so here :)
She blinks her eyes. She's not sure if she heard right.
But she had, she heard everything correctly.
"Elliot put his papers in."
She squeezes her eyes shut, and opens them again. Confusion, anger, pain and sadness had all hit her at once. He's gone; the only man in her life - is gone.
How did this even happen?
She's cried all of her tears, she's cursed all of her curses, and she's screamed all of her screams. What is there to do?
She shuffles into her kitchen and opens the cupboard, there, she sees a bottle of wine, begging to be opened and devoured.
She doesn't hesitate.
She opens the bottle, slowly. She reaches for a glass and she pours.
She watches as the crimson liquid falls into the glass. She eyes the glass intently, as if she is pondering drinking it, but she takes the glass and slowly moves it up to her parted lips. She inhales the scent of the wine.
She takes a sip of the liquid and places the glass on the countertop. She makes her way to the living room and before she could go any further, she sees photos. She grabs the photo of her and Elliot.
It was his son, Dickie's birthday. It was when he and Kathy had split.
She had almost slept with him that night.
She's angry now. How the fuck can you just walk out of someone's life like that?
He left with no goodbye, not a single word was said. Not even a final kiss, to seal any sins.
She tosses the photo across the room, cringing when she watched it hit the wall and shatter.
She feels as if it's a lesson learned. She won't let anyone get that close, ever.
She wants to eat her gun. Hell, she would, but damn that tiny bit of hope is what keeps her going.
The tears are stinging in her eyes. She refuses to cry again.
She picks up a case file from the table and reads it.
Tomorrow, she meets her new partner, Nick Amaro.
AN: I KNOW THIS SUCKS. I have like no inspiration. Sorry. Oh and I kinda ship Olivia/Nick.
