By: jelliclesoul635
Summary: A short little fic-let taking place during and after the Jellicle Ball. Demeter and Munkustrap do not know how to express their love. But after a testing situation, they learn that actions can do much more than words could ever compare.
A/N: This is a new writing style for me but I hope you enjoy this nonetheless. Please do not forget to review! Lately I've been getting lots of people adding my stuff to their lists of favorite things, but could a simple little blurb require that much thought? I could truly use your opinion! It's what I thrive off of!
Disclaimer: I do not own CATS.
He was rather nervous when Macavity appeared at the Jellicle Ball.
He did not expect for the tribe leader to be taken by the menacing tom.
He felt no regrets about protecting the trembling golden-ebony queen against the crimson terror after she unveiled his secret identity.
He had never before acknowledged the bravery hidden within his silver-ebony exterior when he found himself fighting against the Napoleon of Crime for a petrified queen he scarcely knew.
He was determined to win.
He was victorious in the battle and watched while the defeated feline limped to the TSE1 for his grand exit.

She felt relieved when Macavity had left.
She was grateful to the silver tabby for rescuing her.
She uncovered the truth of her feelings for him when they met in the center of the Junkyard, both equally concerned for the other.
She found safety in his touch when they reunited under the light of the glimmering Jellicle moon.
She noticed her heart skip in her chest when he placed his paw on hers for assurance that she would be OK.
She discovered her true desire in that moment; to live with this wise and gentle young tom for her remaining nine lives.

Both of them felt awkward after the celebration; not knowing how to address their situation.
Both of them were aware of their reciprocal emotions, they just did not know how to express them properly.
Both of them could see in their eyes how deeply they longed to be together.
Both of them could feel the tension between them; the heat building on their brightening cheeks.
Both of them were desperate for the lonely mornings to disappear from existence.
Both of them were incapable of breathing as they inched closer; lips practically touching, but not yet.
Both of them found bliss when they pressed their mouths together; combining in a kiss that would open a whole new world for the two to explore . . .
A world called romance . . .
A/N: I know this was not my best piece, but I thought it was worth posting. But it's your opinion that counts here, not mine!
So tell me, did I do the right thing by publishing this fic-let? What are your thoughts on this brief story? Do you have comments or suggestions? Constructive criticism? I'll take what I can get! Seriously!
I am obviously desperate for reviews . . . have you noticed it yet?
