The year is 2008. It has been four years since the battle with Ian Ooze. A lot has changed since that time. After completing his studies in the art school Trent and Kira (who had been slowly rising as a singer) moved back to Reefside to announce their engagement. Tommy and Kimberly had a three year old daughter which they named Trini as a last tribute to their deceased friend. Because they were now parents, Zordon had insisted they would only be called upon in times of dire need (which hadn't taken place ever since Ian). Conner and Krista now lived together and his soccer camps were a success. Ethan (who now lived together with Angela) worked together with Andros, Zhane, Billy and Justin on his software business after graduating from M.I.T. together with Justin. For the rest most of the rangers still lived the same lives they did four years ago (though some of the couples got married, like Tommy and Kimberly). However the ranger all-star team has also grown. Wes, the red Time Force Ranger (who had been on a business trip during the whole Ian Ooze thing) and Eric, the Quantum Ranger (who went with Wes as his bodyguard, not that he needs one) had also joined the team. And after an incident in a small town named Briarwood, where the Wild Force Rangers were sent to, the Mystic Force Rangers joined the team as well. And after being summoned by the Sentinel Knight; Adam, Tori, Kira and Xander Bly, the green Mystic Force Ranger (Bridge was from the future and therefore he doesn't join the team) were able to convince the Operation Overdrive Rangers to join in as well. The attacks on earth had been low lately but that is all about to change.
