A/N Short I know but this just popped into my head. Set after George's tea rant in episode one.

If there was one thing George could count on it was that Annie would make tea. Be it by the cupful or a whole kettle's worth there would always be some on a least one of the empty surfaces in the house. Even though he'd yelled at her the night before for never letting him make his own anymore the truth was that he kind of liked the fact that she did it. Not because he was too lazy to make his own (although the same could not be said for Mitchel) but because he realised now it made her feel human again, just for a few seconds. Annie told him that she liked the simple routines of making the beverage but he didn't need super wolf senses to know that wasn't quite the whole truth. Tea was her way of feeling useful around the house. She couldn't do the shopping or answer the door but she could offer the odd comfort that came from a cuppa and a biscuit with a friend when they needed you. Yes, she couldn't drink it herself but she could sit there listening and cradling the warm mug in hands that he was sure must remind of the heat of being alive. It was one of the most basic parts of being human, as basic as having a job or a relationship and Annie could still do this one. Even he wouldn't take that from her.
