"Ginny please? No one else can talk to her? I mean she gives you some time of day and actually talks to you," Bill was practically pleading with his younger sister now.
Ginny huffed out. Dominique was being a hassle for them. They didn't know what to do. So they resulted to asking Ginny, since she could probably understand the most.
"Ok," Ginny sighed. She wanted to help her niece, and try to change the negative outlook on life that Dominique seemed to have.
Ginny went up to the girl's room and opened the door casually. "What are you doing?" she demanded shrilly, as if it were an instinct to any intruder in her cave. Ginny rolled her eyes.
"Come on Dom. We're going to go on a little road trip," Ginny replied flippantly, shaking at the girl's shoulder to get her up out of the bed. Dominique scolded her aunt, but sullenly got up and followed the older woman out the door.
They walked next to eachother in silence. They stood outside in front of the burrow. "What are we doing?" Dom demanded snootily. "Look out there," Ginny motioned to the field ahead of them.
Wha-" Ginny shot her niece a look. "Just look," she persisted icily. Two could play the ice queen game. Dominique huffed and looked out to the horizon. "What do you see?" she asked causally.
"Ugly," Dominique deadpanned quickly, turning her head to show the detached look across the young girl's features. "Ok," Ginny nodded easily. "Now think of a butterfly. Now is that ugly or beauty?" Ginny asked. Dominique froze, she gulped and thought.
"Well beautiful," she replied waveringly. "Now imagine the butterfly all crumpled and lifeless," Ginny added quickly. Dominique thought of it. "Then it's ugly," she shrugged nonchalantly, her jewel blue eyes straying out into the distance.
"Take that imagining and think of the beautiful butterfly. Now look back out there," Dominique blinked and looked back out into the distance.
"It's beautiful," Dominique choked out uncontrollably. She realized her whole outlook on life was horrible. She shouldn't look at the world that way.
She leant against her aunt and hugged her from the side. "Thank you aunt Gin. I don't know what I would've done without this," she whispered, happy when she felt her aunt's arms wrap around her frame.
"No problem Dom. Just want you to be happy," Ginny whispered.
After that everything changed for Dom. Her parents would never stop thanking Ginny.
