Wow, he needs some fixing in his soul. Nova, he hurt her. He hurt her bad. She won't let her hurt show, but he can feel it. He was just so stressed; he was just too bottled up.
He felt a presence, someone out there knew of his pain and suffering. They knew how much he hurt. They knew he couldn't handle it, but where were they? Why do they just watch him suffer? Do they even care?
Was this presence…a powerful being? Was it a…kind presence?
He had to clear his mind; he walked outside and walked down his favorite path in the park. He sat down on a bench and looked at the super robot, his translator in so people could speak to him…but he didn't want to speak to anyone right now.
His heart felt strangely heavy and…empty. He was…missing something….something important…something he can't live without. He sat there, thinking about it and didn't see a kid come up to him.
"Sir?" she asks.
He looked up at the little girl, great just what he needed, a fan.
"Yeah?" He asks.
She sits down next to him.
"My names Erika Lambert, You seem pretty down, what's the matter?" She asked.
He looked at her, this is stupid, but he was going to tell her anyways. He needed to talk to someone.
"Well…I hurt someone important in my life…I feel so empty, but not because of that person…I feel I'm missing something important…something I can live with out. I also feel this…powerful presence…I feel they know of my suffering, but they don't do anything….I know it sounds crazy, but….I just-" He was saying but the girl cut him off by handing him a book.
"What's this?" He asked.
He looked around, but saw no one. He walked back to the super robot and walked into his tube into his room. He looked at the cover of this book and it said 'Holy Bible'.
He flipped it open and scanned through it. After hours and hours he came to a certain chapter, the crucifying of Jesus. He read of the horrors of him dieing, he read of the resurrection, and he red that Jesus will come back again. He looked at a side note and it said,
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that who so ever believes in him shall not perish, but have ever lasting life. John 3:16.
He kneeled at his bed and clamped his hands together and bowed his head.
"Uh…God? This is Sprx. I'm looking for a second chance and for you to heal my soul and broken heart. Also could you heal Nova's? I think I hurt her pretty badly and I just….wanted to ask for you to come into my undeserving heart. I love you, I'm so grateful that you sent you only son to save us. Thanks again. Amen." Sprx lifted his head up and smiled. The empty feeling was gone.
He rushed down his tube and ran to the main computer. He typed in something and ran out the door.
He was at the door step of a house and knocked. A woman answered.
"Hey, is there an Erika Lambert?" He asked.
The woman shook her head.
"Erika had leukemia and died two months ago. She's in the Shuggazoom cemetery." She said and went back into the house.
Sprx stood in shock. He went into a shop and ran out with a bag and ran to the cemetery. He searched for five minutes, but found her grave. He got on his knees and bowed his head in prayer. He set down a beautiful pinkish lily on her alter and a brand new bible.
He started to walk to the super robot with a bag full of bibles and an explanation of Christ for his family.
