My Kind of Normal
It was 12:00 midnight on a Saturday night. Nobody was suppose to be up at this time. But there was someone up.
Starfire was the only one up.
She had been having these weird unexplainable dreams lately that have been keeping her up. She hoped that no one would be up at this hour, leaving her to cope with her problems, but there was someone up. Lurking in the shadows of the cool night he waited for the perfect time to make his move.
He had waited a long time for a moment like this to come. He had always wanted to be alone with her just once.
"Hello, who is there?"
A shadow walked toward her. She didn't know who the figure was and without hesitation blasted who ever it was.
"Ouch"
"Robin"
"Yeah Starfire it's me"
"I am sorry Robin I did not know that you would be up at this hour"
"It's okay"
There was an awkward silence between them. Robin stood before her about a foot away. He dreamed of a day like this were there was nobody else, there was just themselves.
"Hey Star"
"Yes Robin"
"I wanna tell you something"
"Go ahead Robin I am listening"
He thought about all the moments before this day. The time that he had become Slade's apprentice he had lost all hope, but Starfire was there to turn him around. The time that he was forced to go our with Kitten, he had no respect in her he didn't want to dance with her, but yet when given the chance to dance with Starfire it was different. He danced with her with no troubles. The time that she was going to get married to that big blob of green jello. He was there to reach out to her and convince her that he wasn't right for her. They had always been there for each other.
"Robin"
"Yeah"
"You were staring at me, was It because I have something on my face?"
"No...I"
"Please Robin you must tell me otherwise the others will come"
"Star why don't I just show you instead"
"How can you show me?"
Robin had never done this before but he put his arm around her waist. The other placed on her cheek which was now furiously red. He pulled her closer and closed then gap between them. It was heaven. This was the moment he had dreamed of.
He pulled away.
"Robin what was that for?"
"I love you Starfire and I don't want you to forget me"
"Robin how could I forget the man of my dreams"
"Oh Star"
"Robin you love me even though I am an alien right?"
"Of course I love with whats on the inside, not the outside"
"Then I am normal to you?"
"Starfire"
He brung her closer. He had done another thing he had never done. He took of his mask revealing the perfect eyes that were hidden under the mask.
"Robin"
"Starfire no matter what they say...you're my kind of normal"
They sat on the couch each thinking that they were the king(or in Starfire's case queen) of the world.
"Those idiots"There was a few snickers from inside the hallway.
"They'll never know what hit them"said a dark mysterious voice.
"Dude...and Raven they are totally busted.
"Yeah and I got the whhhhhhooooooollllleeee thing on tape"
"Boo-yah"
"Oh yeah"
"So what do we do now?"
"We blackmail them Raven"
"I was thinking the same thing"
