Chapter One
Minus One Miko
Kagome Dream Sequence no.1
"Run, Kagome! Run! Before Naraku gets you!" She feels the sensation of flying and realizes Inu- Yasha has picked her up and begun to run. Over his shoulder, she sees Naraku, leading his horde of demons towards them. To her left, she sees Miroku, battling bravely with his staff and air rip, defending Shippou. Kilala, claws extended, fighting snake- like soul stealers. And Sango, to her right, about on the brink of collapse, stabbing with her sword and whacking demon heads with hiraikotsu, her boomerang. As they get nearer to the Bone Eater's Well, Naraku sheds his baboon fur and leaps towards them. "Kagome, I...Goodbye," and Inu- Yasha kisses her and throws her into the well.....
End Of Kagome Dream Sequence No. 1 Kagome wakes up with a jolt, sweaty and sobbing. "Oh, Inu- Yasha.... I wanted to tell....." She broke out into a new fit of tears. She ran out the front door and down to the well shrine. "Now the old gang is minus one miko," she whimpered, seated on the well's edge. A wisp of something catches her eye and she turned and looked to it. To her surprise, it looks like the ghost of a giant cat... with three tails.... and pink eyes?! " No... it can't be....." Kagome breathed. But it is.... It is the ghost of Kilala! On her back, two ethereal figures lay; draped across her back as if they were asleep. She instantly recognized them as Sango and Miroku. "But where are Shippou, Myoga, and Inu-Yasha?" she wondered aloud. She fell asleep, draped over the well with the ghosts of Sango, Miroku, and Kilala around her.
