It was a dark night, but the street was lit up by the full moon. Sheriff Sam was paroling around the streets, keeping watch for Gunslingin' Gaia, but Gunslingin' had already snuck into the tavern. The doors swung open, and every man dropped their glass at the sight of the menace. She was the perdiest girl in town, but the punches she threw could knock the biggest man off his feet. And she was a perfect shot, every duel ending with a bullet straight through someone's head.

"Hey now Gunslinger, we don't want no trouble." Stony Orc, the bartender, raised up his arms in defeat. "Just havin' a good ole rollickin' time here, ain't nobody want a fight."

Gunslingin' Gaia stepped up to the bar, grabbed her revolver out of her pocket, and shot him point black in the face. "No trouble." She said. "I just want a good tussle." Gunslinger looked around the room, and grabbed the man next to her. She picked up a beer mug with the other hand, and, as quick as lightening, she slammed the mug over his head. He collapsed to the floor. "Who's next?" Gaia glared around the tavern. A few people yelled, and a few others snuck out through the swinging doors. "Nobody else is gonna be leavin' here alive, I reckon."

Off in the distance, a lone cowboy was galloping into town. He had heard the news of The Gunslinger, and knew she had to be stopped. He pulled his horse to a stop in front of the tavern, and moseyed in through the double doors. The cowboy swung out his two pistols from his holsters. "Did I miss the party, Gunslinger?"

The crowd looked up in surprise. Someone fainted. Diana the Dame fanned her face and sighed, "my hero." The lone cowboy was a legend over in Perdido West. He was known for his immeasurable strength. Some said he had been murdered by his own sister, but came back to life to battle the outlaw.

Gunslingin' Gaia spun around and raised her weapon to face his. "Pistol Pete. Never thought I'd see you 'round this part of the West."

"It's about time I show you what a real duel is." Pistol Pete and Gunslingin' Gaia walked outside and faced each on the streets. The Gunslinger spit onto the road. "This town ain't big enough for the two of us."

Pistol Pete squinted into the dark. "Ten paces back and we both shoot. I reckon, someone's gonna come out of this duel six feet under. And it ain't gonna be me."

The two cowboys took ten steps out and turned around. They fired into the dark, Pistol Pete with his two pistols and Gunslingin' Gaia firing her single revolver. The sound was deafening, and by the end of the duel, smoke had filled the air.

Sheriff Sam trotted in on his horse, with Edilio the Kid galloping in behind him. "What's all the ruckus?" Sheriff Sam hopped off his horse and braced his hands on his knees, breathing hard.

"Curley Bill" Albert was the first to answer. "Shots rang 'tween The Gunslinger and Pistol Pete. Both men done joined the angels." He looked down. Sheriff Sam and Edilio the Kid looked over at the two bodies. Sheriff kicked The Gunslinger's lifeless body, and Edilio closed Pistol Pete's eyes.

"I do declare, Pistol Pete was the best cowboy the West has ever seen." Edilio the Kid was fighting back tears.

"Ain't no legend like him."
