A/N: I was thinking the other day that it was weird that Jackie always calls Michael by his full name when others, like Robbie, call him "Mike." So I decided to write a fic about it after remembering a conversation I had with a friend of mine who hates her name being shortened. Hope you enjoy :)

"I had an interesting conversation with Robbie today," Jackie commented as she dished out the takeaway she was sharing with Michael onto two plates.

"Oh yes?" Michael asked mildly as he retrieved a soft drink from the fridge.

"He asked me why I call you 'Michael' when everyone else calls you 'Mike,'" she said, carrying the plates to the table.

"And what did you say?" Michael asked, pouring them both a drink.

"I told him that I tried 'schnukums' but it didn't seem to catch on," she teased. Michael paused and stared at her, making her laugh, "I'm kidding," she shrugged, "I just told him that was what I called you."

"I thought it was because you were one of the few people who listened when I said I preferred to be called by my full name," he said, carrying their drinks over to the table.

"I always listen to what you say," she told him, feigning offence.

"Uh-huh, that's why you always bring something chocolate for dessert even though you know pecan pie is my favourite," he countered over his shoulder as he went for some serviettes.

Jackie put her elbows on the table, lacing her fingers together. "Michael," she began with exaggerated patience, "take a look in the bag."

Shooting her a questioning glance he did as he was told, pulling out a chocolate cheesecake with pecans.

Jackie smirked, "See? I do listen and I compromised," she told him, taking her elbows off the table and taking a bite of her meal.

"I stand corrected," Michael conceded, placing the cheesecake in the fridge.

"I'm glad we were able to set the record straight," she said with a smile as he joined her.
