I still owe You a ten-second car: A TFATF FanFiction
Chapter 1: I still owe you a ten-second car
"I still owe you a ten-second car." I said, dangling the keys to my Supra in my hands, the barrage of sirens growing louder in the distance. For that moment, I felt that Dom and I were distant from the rest of the world, all of the things that led us up to this moment flashing before my eyes. I smiled. Dominic took the keys and opened the driver side door. "Get in." He said, staring at me intently. "Why?" I asked, shocked and confused. "Just get in; I have to show you something." I got into the Supra, wondering what it was Dominic wanted to show me. The sirens were getting louder and louder still, we could see lights flashing in the rear-view mirrors. "Shit, here we go." Dom said, speeding down the road to avoid being apprehended by the police and sent to jail.
The car ride was silent for the first few moments. We had lost the cops and were now speeding down the road at speeds close to 150 MPH. "I'm sorry, Dom." I said. Dom just continued to drive, not paying any attention to me at all. "Dom, I'm sorry for everything that I've done." I said again, tears sliding down my face. "I don't blame you, Brian." Dom replied with a sad expression on his face. "I blame myself. I should have been a better leader for the crew. I should have listened to them when they said that we shouldn't have attempted the hijack, I'm the one who should be sorry." Again, the car was silent and it stayed silent until we reached a cemetery. "What are we doing here?" I asked Dom, wiping the tears away from my face. "You'll see. Come with me, Brian." Dom replied, pulling the keys out of the ignition and put them into his pocket.
Once out of the car, Dom and I walked through the dreary cemetery, death was everywhere there. We came up to a grave, which read Nathan Toretto. "Is this your father's grave, Dom?" I asked, sitting down on a nearby bench next to Dom. "Yea, this is where his burnt corpse lays to rest." Dominic replied, keeping his cool. I glanced over at Dominic's face, which I swear I saw a tear slip sneakily down the left side of his face. "Is this why you blame yourself for what happened to Vince and Letty during the highjack and Jesse during the drive by?" I asked, making sure not to say anything that would set him off. "Yea, yea it is." Dominic said. He got up off of the bench and walked over to a nearby tree. He punched the tree, and he punched it again and again until his knuckles were bleeding. "What the hell is wrong with me, Brian!?" Dominic sobbed. "Why did I have to go and let them get hurt?" In the past few weeks that I had been with Dominic and the rest of the crew, I had never seen him like that. I got up off of the bench and cupped my hand on Dominic's shoulder. "It's not your fault Dom." I assured him. "Don't feed me that bullshit, Brian!" Dominic shouted, pushing me away from him. "Jesse's dead, Vince can possibly die and Letty will hate me because of what I did!" Dominic sat back onto the bench and placed his head in his lap, sobbing harder than before. "Dom… please do not say anymore." I sobbed. "Just don't say anymore." Dominic eyed me, me tears clearing up. I however, was an emotional wreck. "I hurt Mia, I went against your word. I hurt everyone; You, Mia, everyone. I can't handle the pain of knowing that I hurt you guys anymore, Dom." I cried.
