Hey there people, I know that I haven't written in a really long time, but I hope you enjoy the first chapter of this two parter thing. Also, the reason for this chapter being so short, being honest is due to me being so damn lazy, sorry. I hope you enjoy still, and I would appreciate reviews. Anyway, read on ;) (The next chapter will be better and longer)

Everything feels wrong. The lighting, the oil, the mood. Not only are her shoulders tense as hell, but the silence in the room is anything but comfortable. Castle has no idea what he has done, he must have said something wrong, must have done something to piss her off. But she doesn't seem pissed, she seems, sad. Maybe distant, which he doesn't understand considering part that she is literally underneath him, with his hands rubbing oil all over her. Every time he goes over a muscle that he just massaged it's right where it started from, tense and knotted. Something is definitely jumbled up in her mind. He should say something, he should really say something.

"Kate" And as if she could become any more still, she tenses at the sound of his voice. His hands go still as well, right on her shoulders. Kate tries not to look away from her spot on the pillow, now that he has finally realized something is wrong, she doesn't want him to see the look on her face. Which she can only imagine is something along the lines of problematic and dejected. Castle's eyebrows furrow, uncertain to why she isn't answering. He tries again.

"I'm sorry, am I missing something?" Kate can't believe it has taken him this long to figure out that something is so obviously bothering her. She turns around then, leaving him to awkwardly straddle her. He tries to maneuver his way off her, but before he can she is already pushing him off. He then puts his hand on her shoulders, keeper her from pushing him away, searching her eyes now.

"Okay, okay, Kate hold on." He lets one hand off of her shoulder brushing it through his already disheveled hair. "Obviously I'm missing something."

Kate's eyes roll as she says "Yeah, ya think" and tries to turn from him and get off the bed once again. but before she can even move, his other hand is on her shoulder again, leaving her planted to the bed.

He can't wrap his mind around what has gotten into her, but it's clearly something he has done. "Did I do something to make you so upset?" His mouth is slightly open, his eye brows creased, utterly distraught. She gets up then, some how escaping his hold. She hurriedly puts on her shirt. Now Castle is just becoming upset himself, the least the woman can do is answer him. "That's nice, don't answer me." He points out as she starts putting her hair up.

"Did you ever stop to think that maybe it was something you didn't do, Rick?"

Castle starts to say something, but closes his mouth, notices the gloss beginning to cover Kate's eyes. All he knows is that he better say something fast before she walks out.
