CHAPTER 1 Sting Eucliffe was taking his usual walk on the snowy sidewalk of Mount Hakobe. He wanted to camp there just to get away from all the work of the guild. Not even Rogue was with him. Suddenly he heard a scream. A scream that sounded like a girl in a lot of pain. "Did you hear that Lect-" He stopped himself. He had to stop doing that. Of course he missed Lector, but he was gone now. Dead and gone. Sting tried to find the source of the scream, and it sounded like it was coming from the woods. He got up quickly and dashed into the woods. It was really getting dark, he had to find this girl. There it was again. Another scream. He used his dragon senses to try and pinpoint where she was. She screamed again, but this time it was different. It was weaker... Like she was going to die. He sprinted faster, and he heard her cry out a name. "Ultear...!" He didn't know who that was, but he had to save this girl from dying. He wasn't gonna let any god-damn person die because he couldn't reach them in time. Then, he saw a beautiful pink haired girl, lying in the snow, the only thing that wasn't beautiful about her was the gash on her right shoulder that was bleeding heavily. Sting rushed over and grabbed her. He carried her up bridal style and sprinted to the tent. Her voice was now weak and small, but she managed to say "Who are you...".
"I'm Sting Eucliffe. I'm a dragonslayer from the strongest magical guild in Fiore, Sabertooth. And I'm not going to let you die here." The girl stared at his face and tears ran down from her eyes. When they reached the tent where Sting was settled in, he sat her upright on the blanket and tried stopping the blood. He got his first aid kit out-he brought it just in case- and wiped her tears away with his hand. "Umm... I need to... umm remove this..." Gesturing at her cloak. She nodded quietly, still wincing in pain. He removed her cloak, and saw the cut was pretty long, but not so deep. "And part of this.." he said gesturing to her shirt. She looked at him in the eyes and let out a quiet but still painful laugh.
"Just do it..." She started to blush heavily and he could see it. At least she wasn't dying anymore, her color was coming back. "Sure...I guess..." He wiped away all the blood and took off the right half of her shirt. They were both blushing at how slowly Sting did it. He managed to find some medicine and soft bandages. He applied the medicine carefully, and wrapped her cut in bandages. She is so beautiful... He tried to avoid staring at the perfect curve of her breasts and tried to make conversation.
"Who did this to you?" He said as he put half of her shirt back on.
The pink haired girl replied, "Minerva... I think that was her name... She had her hair kind of like, Japanese style or something..." Minerva... Sting knew that name. She was from his guild, but he didn't want to say. That bitch... He had to control his anger. "But... Why?"
"She likes doing this to people who don't agree with her."
"Where is she now?'
"I don't know... But I did see her disappear in a light flash."
"She probably went off to hide."
"I know." There was a short period of silence, then the girl outstretched her left hand towards Sting. "Umm... I'm Meredy."
"Sting." He outstretched his hand to meet hers.
"I know." She giggled and Sting started to laugh too. "Owwwww..." She said painfully. He got a blanket out and lay her there. He lay next to her, and she said something that caught him off-guard. "Thank you Sting. For saving my life." She hugged him tightly, then closed her eyes.
"Your welcome." When she was sound asleep, he kissed her forehead and brushed her long pink hair out of her face. She smiled, as if she knew what Sting just did. Together they fell into a nice peaceful sleep on Mount Hakobe.
