She watched him from the corner of her eye through her sunglasses. She would sometimes hear incoherent words bubble out of his lips now and then, most of the time including food, and sometimes his friends. It made her smile, but the large scar spread across his exposed chest made her feel quite heavy in a mental manner. She still regret not being there for him during his brother's death, and she felt ashamed because of that.

Looking around the deck, Nami hopped off her lawn chair, seeing as noone was in sight. She walked over to the sleeping boy, light snores coming from his throat. She squatted down in front of him, staring idly at his expression as her eyes trailed over to the rough trademark scar under his left eye. She reached up, touching the old wound with her thumb.

The large, x shaped, mark on his front, once again, caught her attention as her fingers made their way to his tanned chest. Milky white ghostly touches traced the outline of the scar. Before she knew it, something wet dropped onto her jeans. Figuring it was rain, she dismissed the subject, but decided to look down as another followed suite. She was sure it was rain, though when she looked up at the sky, all she saw was the vast blue color, along with splashes of white which formed small stretched cotton balls.

Nami felt something warm running down her cheeks and she reached up, wiping a bit of the fluid off of her skin. She looked down at her finger and it was wet and clear.

'Tears...?'

Her eyes widened. She was crying, definitely crying. She was confused. The fact that whenever she looked down at the raven haired boy's face, which ended her with pools of the substance filling her eyes again, made her wonder. There was something in her chest that made her feel extremely depressed.

'I wish I could have been there for you..' Nami thought, tears dripping from her chin, '..my captain.' She noticed her hand still on his chest, and she quickly pulled it away, clenching it to a fist.

Nami stood up, staring at the teen with glazed eyes, a tint of pink scattered across her cheeks. Light brown orbs widened as she saw him slowly wake up from his small doze. She swiftly ran to her room, the tears still overflowing her eyes, but didn't run fast enough, for the straw hat captain noticed a small glimmer of the clear liquid as it landed directly on his cheek.

Luffy fully woke from the light splash on his cheek as he sat up, staring at the running navigator in confusion. He brushed the liquid off his cheek and looked down at his finger. His eyes widened.

"Nami..."

A/N: Okay, first of all, this was inspired by Zippi44-sama's piece of art I found on DeviantArt. I couldn't help but write this little drabble thing. The emotions I felt when I saw the picture. I don't own the image either. It is Zippi44-sama's work, not mine. I don't own anything!
