A/N: This idea came to me while in Fort Morgan. I have no idea why other than the conection to the civil war. If you like it and want them to go inside the Fort then tell me so in a review. Otherwise I will not post it.

I don't own Fort Morgan or the Twilight charaters...

"Jazz can we go in?" Alice's eyes got huge at the question. He bit his lip. He just had thought she had wanted to see the beach.

"Sure." She jumped out of the car and ran to the door of the museum threw the pounding rain. Fort Morgan, the sign read. Jasper got out of the car slowly and followed his wife inside. Alice grabbed his hand and pulled him past the gift shop, something she did at every battlefield they had visited. She always said that the few thing he had hidden inside his drawer in their room was enough.

She pulled him straight into the museum. It showed pictures of the fort being build. War of 1812 was written on the wall. He walked a bit further toward one of the glass cases. It held old uniforms and an old gun. Alice looked his way.

"A little before my time." he answered her unspoken question. He walked past two other cases just like the first on. As he passed the second one he muttered so quietly Alice could barely hear, "That one is my time frame." He felt a tinge in Alice's emotions. She walked over to that case and stood with her head tilted to the side. Jasper leaned up against a wall to watch her. The case held a uniform, a few cannon shells, a few bullets, and a gun just like the one he had used.

"Really?" she asked as she turned around to face him.

"Yes."

"Oh, cool." She said. Jasper was shocked as she walked further down the hall. She always had loved to learn about his history because she had no human memories. This was so against her character. Jasper shook his head and followed her.

They past case after case of old junk. Alice stopped at each one and checked the date. When the cases blended into written blocks of information she would stop and read whatever it said. As they neared the door in the small room where the light for the old light house was displayed Alice stopped to look at a case.

"Jazz did you see this?"

"No. Should I have?"

"It's just different. I don't know if you should. I can't see how you will handle it…." her sentence rambled off as her eyes drifted.

"Well if it's just that." he said back. Alice's eyes came back to the now with a start and then proceeded to watch Jasper carefully. He walked over to stare at the case.

It contained two letters, one written and one typed, a paragraph of information, a few buttons and what appeared to be some false teeth, and pieces of canon. Jasper scanned the text. It was about a man who had died when the cannon exploded. The letters were to his wife.

It could have been me. And the letters to Alice. Shock coursed though him. He tried to shove the picture of a heartbroken Alice receiving the letter.

He couldn't take it. He took one step away from the case and walked out the door`. He heard Alice's mutter of " So that's what would have happened." and the sound of her shoes walking around the last of the expedites. He knew he had probably hurt her feelings by running out like that. She also knew he needed time alone. His gaze traveled to the fort, wondering if Alice would make him enter there as well?

A/N: Really review if you want them to go inside. It would be cool if they did. It was a cool Fort. Lots of dark rooms for Alice to freak out in. (The Alice in my head HATES dark rooms when she's alone.) New chapter if you review!!!
